Extensive menu, great breakfasts from 7 am to Midnight or 1 AM. Can be very busy, but things move along and everybody on staff stays friendly and helpful

The bowling alley staff nearby recommended this diner and I see why. There was a short wait for a table but it was worth it. Glad we got burgers because they use good quality locally baked hamburger rolls - the kind that have a dusting of flour on top and hold up to the burger. The blue cheese burger was... More

I come here all the time. Their food is good and the staff is great. They run creative specials and dinners are full meals (bread, soup, etc.). I highly recommend this place.

The parking lot was full on a Saturday morning, but we only had to wait a moment for somebody to leave and free up a spot. We were seated immediately, with a smile. Everything was clean, and the staff all appeared to be experienced, efficient, and cheerful. Our food was served quickly. It was mediocre, but we would go back... More

I went here on a busy Sunday morning, and had a great breakfast. Even though it was busy, the staff was friendly and efficient. There was a large assortment of breakfast choices from Omelets, to combo plates, French toast, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches and more. My daughter got an omelet with home fries, and I got oatmeal with fruit on the... More

We are in town for 2 nights. Last night we ate at a "sophisticated" restaurant, where the bill for 2, with 2 glasses of wine and before tip, was over $100. Just okay. Tonight, we ate at this diner... We did not have wine, though we could have had wine, beer, or lots of cocktails... Our bill was $34. We... More

Had lunch yesterday. I the burger with fries, my husband had a ruben. My burger was done just perfect medium rare. The Ruben was good but grilled like a grilled cheese and flat. Usually we they are stacked. We had the potatoes fries with gravy for an appetizer and the gravy had a clove taste, which we didn't care for.... More

When you go to a good-size diner and there is a wait (just a short one), you know the food is going to be great! It goes without saying that they have everything one could possibly want, including all-day breakfast, matzo ball soup, salads, overstuffed sandwiches, and daily specials. But no matter the time of day, I always order the... More

Excellent food is to be had at the Capitol City Diner. They have the best onion rings that I've had so far in any Capitol region diner since I moved up here! I only gave them 4 stars because there is nothing quite like diners downstate in Queens and Long Island! But this one comes close!
