My family has made it a tradition of going to Abu Christo restaurant in the Old City of Acre every Passover/Easter vacation. The view from the restaurant is unrivaled. However, this time we left slightly disappointed. The prices were relatively high (650 shequels for 6 people, one of which only had a (small) bowl of hummus, and not all of... More

Acre is well known for its fresh local food and excellent service. This restaurant was very disappointing in both aspects: the food was mediocre at best and the service was much too slow and very inviting to say the least. They do have a wonderful balcony with amazing view of the sea, but the overall experience was very poor especially... More

The restaurant has a very nice view. The salads were not very good and the fish was average. Expensive.

We had a really nice lunch at Abu Christo: salads, fish, coffee and complementary baklava. The fatuoush salad was delicious, and the hummus was really good too, very generous portions. Fish was super fresh: we went for sea bream, the mixed small fish, and the sea bass. French fries needed salt, and lacked flavor: I would request rice or some... More

It's a touristic place, OK, no special local feel, but it's clean, roomy, the food is reasonably tasty, the service relaxed as everywhere here but quick enough, the personnel friendly. It's advisable try to grab a table near the sea: you can eat cooked fishes looking at their live cousins swimming in the bay.

Super fresh and wonderful food - from the salads to the fish and meat dishes we shared. Warmth and hospitality all around and just a terrific dining experience

This is an old and traditional restaurant in Acre. I can only recommend to you to go there. The food is really good, the waiters are nice and the location is amazing. Enjoy! :)

We sat on the terrace looking out onto Haifa Bay. Sadly there is a lot more trash dumped in the water than when we were here over ten years ago. We had the mezze and the spicy grilled fish (Harame). The mixed dishes in the mezze were very good and the fish was well cooked but hardly spicy as it... More

This fish and Middle Eastern food restaurant sits right on the water, and also has a large indoor sitting area. Its built for crowds, with all the tables lined up in rows. We're been here at least three times with out-of-town guests and they've never disappointed. The seafood is fresh, the salads are tasty, the water, lemonade and beer are... More

Great seafood restaurant, freshest salad, the absolute best calamari around . . . icy cold beer and life is good!
