When the first time I tried Ahai Mie Kangkung Belacan, it still located in Pasar Ramai. It taste great but the place is too small and crowded. The one in S. Parman is more comfortable and clean. However, I think the noodle doesn't taste as good as it used to be. My friend ordered Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin, and it... More

The place like Mie Kangkung Belacan Ahai is rare in Medan, most Mie or Kwetiau mostly contain pork for us who cannot eat pork, lard pork oil is hard. Although some restaurants also serve pork free fried Kwetiau but the taste is usually off Every Time I go back to Medan I have to ask the seller whether or not... More

We heard about this warung soon as we landed and some brief research done earlier but was a bit sceptical to try any local food here but this one really change my perception. Ordered their stir fried noodle and bihun. Mine was served with chunky fresh prawns and squid...my friend pulak ordered bihun kosong(vegetarian), the taste I tell you...must come... More

This food is a legend in Medan. Ask any local and you would find out why... It's stir fried noodle or rice noodle with shrimp paste. The prawn was big and the smell very tempted. And it was LARD and PORK free :) My favourite is Kuay Teow Belacan and Fried Rice with salty fish. The chicken rice next to... More
