Thank you for visiting and your comments. I'm delighted that the food was amazing and fantastic. And please thank your friend for recommending Murni's Warung. We're looking forward to seeing you again to try some more items on the menu. Best wishes, Murni
I reside in Australia and have a Balinese friend who resides near Ubud. Murni's was helpful right from the first point of contact supplying dinner menu's, birthday cake options etc. There was a secure link where I was able to pay for everything and a...receipt was provided. Murni remained in contact with me providing updates of when the booking was confirmed. I was sent a photo of my friend celebrating with a picture of the birthday cake. I 100% recommend Murni's Warung. Thank you for making my friends birthday so special.More

Hi Autumn Thank you for the wonderful 5 star review. It was a great evening and it was a pleasure to entertain your friends on this special birthday. I'm delighted that it went through so smoothly. I hope that you'll be able to join in...More
We’ve been getting delivery and going to Murni’s for almost a year and a half and the food is excellent! They closed for a few months during the pandemic and we were so happy when they opened again and offered delivery!
Murni’s serves delicious Balinese...and Indonesian food in a lovely traditional Balinese outdoor setting. There’s lots of beautiful Balinese decor and art surrounding the tables. Murni herself is sometimes there and will give you a warm greeting if she sees you!
The food is so fresh and tasty. My favorites are the Chicken Satay, which is nicely marinated and slightly charred at the ends which gives it a great grilled flavor. The Satay Lilit is juicy grilled minced chicken with fresh tasting spices. I also love the Mie Kuah. It’s very fresh and healthy tasting. The deserts are amazing, they’re all homemade. I’ve had similar things at other restaurants but Murni’s is my favorite. The food here is very high quality and you can taste the difference.
A great afternoon is spent sitting at a table overlooking the river having a Balinese coffee and Murni’s homemade Balinese caramel cake!More

We had lunch at Murni's Warung on the recommendations of friends who had also been, and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient, the views overlooking the hillside and the river were stunning, and the food was spectacular. My partner and I had...the Beef Rendang and the Mi Goreng, and both are highly recommended. What I loved most, though, is that you can really see the heart that has been included into the restaurant and its surroundings. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Ubud.More

Thank you very much for your review. And thanks also to your friends who recommended Murni's Warung. My heart is indeed there since I started it from nothing in 1974 and it is the oldest restaurant in Ubud. Of course much larger now than when...More
Unfortunately, it has gone downhill in a very big way. Two visits now have seen us leaving very disappointed. I asked a staff member what were the constituents of something and she said she didn't know. I suggested she might like to ask someone but...she came back saying no one knows. The quality of all dishes ordered was well below par.More

Thank you for your comments. There is something very odd about this. For example, why are you writing it 9 months after you visited? Are you sure you are writing about the correct restaurant? You "asked a staff member what were the constituents of something"....More
I fell in love with Murnis restaurant many years ago and their mee goreng was always a highlight as I actually thought it to be the best in Bali but unfortunately things were not to stay the same as I just discovered. My beloved dish...has changed and not for the better I’m afraid. Prior to it’s demise it was a perfect combination of firm yellow noodles, succulent chicken and fresh colourful vegetables. Now, though the chicken and vegetables are the same, the noodles have been replaced with a grey sloppy substitute that that brings the level of excellence it once enjoyed to somewhere well below average.
Such a shame as the service is great and no doubt the quality of other dishes that don’t include noodles are also good, though this I guess I shall never find out as I now commence my long search for the perfect Mee GorengMore
