I found Jungle fish through social media, and finally try it out. This place is a gem. You can enjoy its tranquility while swimming. With the jungle view and Ubud atmosphere are a perfect combination.

Hi, We recently visited Jungle Fish for dinner. We got our hotel staff to call and make a reservation. When on the phone, we were asked if we would like to eat in the fine dining restaurant or the pool bar and we went with the pool bar as we had already looked at the menu online and fine dining isn't our thing. We arrived at the lobby and were shown down a set of stairs where we were greeted by Budi. We asked if there was anywhere else to eat to which he replied, "No, the other is closed." He showed us to our seats and asked us what kind of water we would like, still or sparkling. He never mentioned if there was an extra charge for this or even a charge at all. After waiting 10 minutes to be given a menu, we realised that is was very expensive and this was obviously not what we had booked and again asked if there was another place to eat as stated on the phone. This time he said "yes, the pool bar." and we asked if we could go there instead. We were shown where it was and told our water would be brought down to us (half of the bottle, left in the glasses on the table!) We enjoyed the food and shortly after, asked for the bill. On receiving the bill, we immediately noticed that we had been charged an astonishing amount of 75,000IDR for ONE bottle of water, which we had not even asked for and had been offered with no mention of a cost AT ALL! We queried this with a the girl who brought our bill and she was no help at all. Budi then arrived and he was even less help that her, not being able to understand why we were annoyed that we had been charged such a ridiculous amount for a bottle of water we didn't even ask for in the first place. If he had of simply told us that there was an extra cost for this, then we wouldn't have agree especially when the amount was so large!! We only payed 80,000IDR for one of our meals so the fact that the water was only 5,000 less seems crazy. We left feeling very angry and disappointed that no one was willing to do anything about the charge and even more annoyed that not one of them could understand our frustration. We went back to the lobby on our way out and asked the man at the desk if there was an email we could complain to and were told there wasn't one. We then asked if there was a manager that we could complain to and were again told there was one, which we found very hard to believe! Overall, we did not have the best experience when visiting Jungle Fish and left feeling very disappointed and frustrated. We would like to know if there was anything that you could do to resolve this issue and if not, is there an email address for whoever is in charge so we could make a formal complaint?
