Food was fine (though I would suggest the Chilli Chicken might be better described as spicy sweet and sour) and service was quite quick. There was only one waitress whilst we were there (staff training: the occasional smile goes a long way)

Staff were unbelievably rude. Fly in my drink, waited roughly 5 minutes for curries to come to then having to wait an extra 10minutes for the chips which we had to ask for them as they forgot about them then the food was cold. Was...being stared at by 2 members of staff eating which made me feel very uncomfortable. Found hair in my food but argued over it being my own hair. To then having 5 members of staff confronting me about payment. Avoid at all costs.More
Absolute shocking food Shocking rude staff Hair in food Dead fly in drink Rice is microwaved Food was served in 5 minutes but then had to wait 10minutes to get the french fries Do not come here.
This place is great for casual night out.Delicious food, attentive and well mannered staff and pleasant surroundings. A cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Would like to visit again with friends and family.
Location: great Ambience: average Veg Food taste: average Food varieties: they didn't have curd, aloo, paneer on that day which are so common! Service: good
Thought the place looked nice and the menu was extensive, so chanced giving it a go despite the reviews. We too have eaten lots of Indian food around the world, and we found it pretty good. Service was polite, welcoming and efficient. Owner popped by...for a nice chat, and we had a very pleasant evening. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a bit spicy for my wife, but very tasty and my Chicken Biriyani was spot on for me. 2 mains, garlic naan and 2 drinks came to £15. I think that's pretty good.More
I don't think the owner, manager or staff read reviews posted. If they did, they would update their menu and staff. If I could give this place no stars I would. We weren't greeted and had to seat ourselves, it took forever for the menus...to be placed, once we ordered appetizers the waitress was taking the menu away (had to ask to keep it), all the staff looked beyond miserable. We only ordered the veg manchurian, which was overly salted cauliflower balls with no sauce and the chili paneer was nothing but some Tikka sauce with loads of ketchup. We didn't finish the apps, as they were horrible AMF we didn't order any main courses. Save yourself the disappointment and don't go hereMore
Everywhere I go in the world I request one dish, Chicken Tikka Masala. I’ve had close to 100 servings of this over my lifetime and around the world. Sitara is hands down in my top 3 worst I have ever had, only coming close to...a restaurant in Belgium that was also disgraceful. My food came out within 6 minutes, this is not fast food and the rice was the best thing I was served. Naan is thin and I was given a very small amount. The main course tasted rushed and just thrown together with large pieces of onion and tomato. Neither of which should be in the dish In that way. No drinks were served, I had asked for water and it was 10k for a small warm bottle of water. Do not recommend, Bollywood down the road is a better option.More
Horrible food. No salt in food . we ordered two starters and both of them were served without any salt. The tomato soup also was saltless and tasteless We ended up paying for the tasteless food and going to GAnesa restaurant
We visited the restaurant with family and the food was absolutely terrible. We ordered hara Bhara kebab, soup tomato, veg man chow and paneer tikka. All Of them had no salt or taste. Requested talking to the chef but he refused to even come and...talk. Crazy expensive and billed us for horrible food. We stopped right after starters and went to Ganesha instead where the food was awesome!More
One of the few Indian restaurants in Ubud. Limited variety of vegetarian options though the quality was reasonable. Prices are slightly on the higher side. Still getting an Indian dinner away from home was comforting!
I had the Sitara special curry. It was tasty but the chicken was poor quality. Upon entering the restaurant I checked with the waiter which part of the chicken they used. He told me it would be chicken fillet. It wasn't, it was just random...pieces of chicken and fat. Disgusting! The sauce was tasty but the chicken spoiled it. They took 5% off the price of the dish, which is only about 25p. I won’t be returning and would not recommend this place.More
Had chicken dopiaza here lunchtime. Not very busy, good arrived in good time. I asked for spicy rather than medium. Food was average at best and certainly not very spicy at all. Was also quite dry, lacking sauce. My one dish with plain rice came...to more than I’d pay in the UK. Options are limited in Ubud, and this place might be ok for a temp Indian food fix. But could be oh so much better.More
This is definitely the worst Indian food I have ever had. I love Indian food and typically eat Indian food at least once during any trip I go on all over the world and am rarely disappointed... but this was just awful. The flavors were...really off. They have the most expensive rice I’ve ever seen in all my travels and this place is far from luxurious to be charging prices like that. Staff is rude, confrontational, and not helpful. Please do not waste your time and money going here.More
Kind of frightening when the waiter is seen picking his nose just before he comes to take your order then places your dinnerware on the table. We wiped everything down but . . . Anyway impersonal service at best and the food is mediocre. Prices...are comparable to the other Indian restaurant nearby - both overpriced. Would not return here again.More
