Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been here a few times on my trip Great great wholesome and healthy food and good portions, but get an awful vibe from the staff, literally all of them, which makes me believe it comes from the top. Has happened every time, which surprised me....Thought i may have just arrived on an off night. It hasn’t stopped me from returning and don’t let it deter you, as the food is delicious and I’m not coming to be pampered or make friends .. but yeah a great shame for a joint with such delicious food. The only place on the whole island I’ve ever felt this coldness from the typically lovely balinese.More

Seriously the best food and juices. Tried a few of the up market places but came back to Yellow Flower repeatedly as it beats the others hands down on taste, freshness, value, service and venue.

We have been coming to Yellow Flower Cafe for a decade and have had countless meals there over the years. Sadly, on our last visit to Penestanan, the YFC just didn’t have the same “feel” that made it so very special and has lost some...of its charm. We visited around lunch time and waited a fair amount of time for one of the many staff to come to our table to take our order. In a short time she returned to tell me that my drink was not available (kombucha) and then again a few minutes later to tell us that our food selection was not available as well. Fair enough, we chose other options and the food and drinks were nice. Part of the “magic” of Yellow Flower Cafe besides its location and ambience was the peace and warmth it offered on every visit. In a strange way this has somewhat disappeared. Perhaps because of its popularity and location it afforded the staff with the opportunity to care less. The warmth of the place now seems a bit robotic and cold and the workers/owner seem to be indifferent. This was once a true escape from the western world… this experience almost felt like we were anywhere else but in Bali!More

Nice Restaurant, healthy and delicious food and drinks. But don't order the duck, as long as you don't exactly know what awaits you. 😄 It comes in one piece, head and throat included, without any tool to disassemble the poor (and thin) creature. And without...any advice... Well it was an experience. For "normal" stuff, we recommend the restaurant.More

Although this is a beautiful location and flavourful food.....the service is lackluster. We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken after trying to get the attention of staff on 2 ocassions. There appeared to be plenty of staff, in excess of 8 and...although there were a few occupied tables, the restaurant was not busy. The first meal arrived 50 minutes after ordering. After a further 10 minutes I asked about the second meal, 10 minutes later the waitress returned and advised they were sorry they had forgotten to make my meal and the second meal arrived another 10 minutes after that. While we were not in a rush, it would be good for staff to improve communication and service. The staff appear to be disinterested in the customers.More

Lovely spot that is only accessible by foot or bike. Great Indonesian fare. Breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this place for experiencing the Bali vibe

We visited yellow flower cafe 4-5 times during our stay in Ubud. Amazing menu with lots of heathy, vegan, and traditional Balinese options. Some favorites: the F.A.T., 7th heaven coffee, and fresh kombuchas. Everything we got was delicious. The Balinese buffet on Sunday night was...delicious and allowed us to try many different Balinese foods (suggestion: signs saying what each item is, so that I can order it again in the future!). Service was surprisingly quick. The cafe itself is very clean, decorated beautifully, and had lovely jewelry for sale. Highly recommend!More

This place is super cute and hidden away on the back paths of Ubud and it’s location is what makes this place special. Away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. The menu is extensive and food really fresh.

Amazing(!!!) food, wonderful friendly staff, beautiful location. I highly recommend. We got a hing from our Taxi driver that yellow flower cafe was right around our villa and ate that every day. Try the healing juices and off course the coffee!

In a lovely tucked way location in Penestanan. Yellow flower has been a favourite on my trips to Bali. The food is healthy without sacrificing flavour and imagination. It is on a peaceful walking path near a yoga studio.

Though a little hard to find if you’ve never been, Yellow Flower is worth the search. This casual but we’ll-run cafe offers a gorgeous view, lovely staff and good food. The nasi campur was perfect as was the mee goreng. We’ve had many meals here...and look forward to more. One side has the view while the other has internet. It’s a fine place to have coffee, tea and snacks and read or web surf.More

We were quite lucky that our accommodation was a short 3 minute walk to this little gem. We had dinner there on a Sunday night which is the only night they serve a buffet and it was such a delight to try so many local...foods in one go. It's run by these lovely women who cook delicious food, as if you are welcomed into their home. We also had breakfast there a few days later and yet again, we were impressed with how much was on offer and the quality was outstanding. Try the 7th heaven coffee - soooo good :) They are so lovely there, with beautiful surroundings and a light breezy atmosphere. Can't wait to go back on my next trip to Ubud. Suksma.More
