Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Ubud. Felt as if I was in the country somewhere with a wonderful view. My husband and I came here and the food was awesome and the srvice was even better. Our waiter was very patient with us and very helpful, he pointed out his favorite dishes from the menu.

We accidently found this cafe and thought it looked cute and welcoming, so we had lunch here. The food was extremely good, so delicious! They have a great menu with many different options, lots of vegetarian and vegan options and I believe they use locally growen food where possible. We loved it so much, so that we came every day while we were in Ubud. We had different dishes, cake, shakes and coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious. The coffee was absolutely amazing! Definitely the best coffee we had during our 2 week trip in Indonesia and in fact probably the best coffee I have had in a long time (and I'm from Melbourne, the coffee capital of Australia where we are very proud of our good coffee ;-)...). The cake was insanely delicious, too and I wish I had the recipes to bake them at home. Staff was absolutely lovely and greeted us with a big smile every time we came again! The cafe itself is so cosy, has a great vibe, different seating areas and overall a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It's great for people working there as well. They even offer to refill your refillable water bottle for a small charge, so that we can all reduce the amount of plastic bottles we buy during holidays. All drinks come with a metal straw and not a plastic straw which is great. It was the only cafe we went to in 2 weeks, which provided metal instead of plastic straws. I love the sustainability approach which not many places seem to have in Indonesia. There was absolutely nothing that could have been better. We enjoyed our food and drinks every time we were there. I wish we had such a great cafe in Melbourne!

It is always challenging for find vegetarian/vegan eateries on my vacations so I was ecstatic to find this quaint and cosy joint with amazing views offering an impressive range of affordable vegan options. It was a much needed fuel to our tired bodies and hungry tummies.much recommended!

The restaurant is good, I have one dish I like particularly, and as I experienced changes in prices, I wanted to make sure what is the price before ordering, after they opened again, but they always are hiding the final price, always they add extra taxes and service to what they tell you is the price. Because I feel this practise is unfair, I like to contribute to finish that system giving this review. Many places do that. They think of tourists, who dont bother, are not aware of rates (rupiah is very different exchange), and tourists will anyway diasppear soon, so who would care. sad aproach, seems uncurable really.

Thanks so much for your positive feedback regarding our food (🥰) and we appreciate you giving us the opportunity to clarify the 10% tax and 5% service charge, which our POS system automatically calculated and added to your bill.
We aim to make our tax and service charges very clear and have done all we can to be transparent about our billing by printing Atman Kafe’s 15% tax and service fee on every page of our menu.
In Bali, it is standard hospitality practice (as it is in the US and other countries) to list menu item prices excluding T&S fees, then calculate and add the T&S fees to the final bill.
In Bali, as a basic rule, 5% service charge is added in cafes and restaurants (10% service charge is added in hotel restaurants and upmarket establishments). It is also standard practice in Bali to add 10%-11% Government tax to the bill.
Larger company-owned businesses are subject to the additional 1% tax and can opt to pass it on to the customer, so a hotel’s accommodation, spa and restaurant T&S fees are typically 21% for this reason.
I hope this helps you to understand Balinese hospitality business practices so you are not frustrated by our billing in future and we sincerely welcome you back as our guest. 🙏🏻

Atman has been renovated and looks quite different from when we visited 3 years ago. Unfortunately the food has gone down hill. The Pad Thai was not the same, quite flavorless. My sate chicken skewers were like tough boots..So dry! I only managed to get through half, and the sate was quite bland. Our other friends who were dining here for the first time very quite unimpressed and disappointed after we said it was good.

Good indo food and fresh drinks. Being able to sit elevated and on butt really added to experience of enjoying food and no need to rush.
Good prices and nice to be able to look around shop while eating.

We have been coming back to back every day for dinner/brunch/lunch to this cafe where food is clean and guilt-free and an ambiance straight out of the buddha bar playing lounge music all day. The pizzas are amazing, and so are the Balinese curry and Tom Yum soup. The Apple Strudel and Beet Cacao Pie are to die for. Do try their hot chocolate and Golden Milk Latte.
We got a 25% off the bill as they had added extra space upstairs for the year-end, it really sweetened the deal.
The service staff, Koma and Ayu, are so welcoming, with warm smiles and courteous service.

few years ago,visited atman chil and nourish,but this year when revisited ubud,chill might be closed,only found atman kafe at jl hanoman.nourish seemed still opened,not sure.but i noticed another atman the other day,it seemed mainly served for coffee only,it is located at jl raya ubud. anyway,staffs here friendly,especially one young girl,she greeted me at the front of atman kafe one night when i passed by it.that time i was in a hurry,so not stepped in,just replied her next time.one day later,i went here for dinner.the place is big, comfortable. i ordered brekkie burrito, cafe latte and health juice,juice is pineapple,orange mixed with ginger. i love its burrito, tasty, portion quite big. cafe latte is one of the best in ubud, health juice nice also, cuz i am a ginger lovers. there are some fancy stuffs selling at the shop, like bags, purse,cultery, etc. if you love healthy food, atman is the best choice, if you love coffee,then atman is recommended!

I choose this place for lunch as I had read reviews that you are able to have gluten free pizza here.
This is place for healthy food and you can find many dishes to be vegan and gluten free.

Really beautiful fresh food with reasonable prices. We came for the gluten free options after reading about it on a blog (I'm coeliac) and it did not disappoint! Huge selection of GF. We ordered all Balinese and it was divine. Fresh vegetables and seafood with lots of flavour. The coconut crusted mahi mahi and Balinese curry are must. Girls serving were lovely. They took our 7mo so we could eat and she had lots of fun getting passed around and played with. Although the poor 2 year old got shunned haha. No highchairs for kids though. definitely recommend for gf and non gf customers.

Great kafe with small tables and areas where u can chill on cushions and have food and drinks.
Good selection of vegan foods and snacks.
We had a carrot cake full of nuts, not so sweet and so delicious.
Cappuccino Coffee and iced latte were great.
Clean toilets.
Good reasonable prices.
Soft spiritual music to listen to and a shop attached to buy essential gifts.

Disappointed.
Ordered burrito, came cold and bland ..
The chicken extra was also bland cooked and in a little bowl on the side.
Asked for a glass of water and was brought 3 bottles. Still on her tray and unopened we asked just for one bottle. She refused and said we had to buy
two at least, and was very grumpy. My companion did not finish the meal
either.
Will not recommend or return.

There was a rat on the restaurant wall. It was a horrible experience for us. The food wasn’t good either.
We ordered GF pizza and the base was soft. It was a very unpleasant and nasty experience when we saw the rat walking on the wall right after we had started eating.
They gave us only 10% discount at the end which was insignificant compared to the awful situation.

No complaints about the food or service.
Eggs Florentine with avocado, tomato, muffin... delicious.
It's the smoking that destroyed my visit. They allow it with NO SIGNAGE in the restaurants best location, overlooking the fields.
The morning I am there all seats are available. A couple come in, sit directly next to me and immediately light up... disgusting and no respect.
If Atman does not post a sign for smoking area, I think they grossly failed to respect non smokers.

Lots of vegan and gf options. Food delicious but small portions if you’re a hungry eater! Seems clean and hygienic and staff very friendly. On a busy road but indoor seating is comfortable and quiet
