We had the vegetarian set meal and a Tempe curry. Both were delicious! The ladies there are so helpful and hospitable and the service was amazing. Lovely place to have dinner.
A repeat customer, we visited last year and this year are were not disappointed, a lovely friendly and extremely tasty meal. Highlight is the hand written menu on blackboards.
Unfortunately our group dining experience this time around was very average. The crispy prawns were too dry. The mushroom & garlic croquettes were even drier! The coconut chicken curry was the worst we’ve eaten this time in Bali & we’ve eaten at least a dozen...of them. No depth in flavour & quite watery. The red curry however was delicious. So disappointed with the food we didn’t stay for dessert. Also, this little warung is cash only. Very inconvenient in post Covid times. Finally, the best two things about this warung are the reasonable pricing of menu items & the extremely friendly staff.More
Not on the main Ubud drag and took a bit of finding but well worth the effort . The last hurdle to get to this Warung is the huge flight of steps but a nice cool beer quickly relaxed me and my partner. No menu...but food listed on boards and carefully explained to the customers. We shared a plate of crispy prawns and then a coconut curry , truly delicious and amazing value for money. had a nice bottle of local wine and felt very happy with the world. Staff super friendly and service just amazing. Best eating experience in UbudMore
Delicious, flavourful food with excellent service. The girls were super welcoming and our food was served with a smile 🙏 they had a vegan set menu for 66.000 IDR and wow you won’t be disappointed nor leave hungry. For two people we ordered a set...menu each which had a curry, rice, side of veggies also a naan! Extremely cheap and very good portions!More
You will not find better quality food for this attractive price anywhere else in Ubud. Every day the chef has a different suggestion, and every time it was a hit! This business is centrally located in Ubud and is therefore easy to find. Not only...the quality of the food is delicious, but also the service is absolutely top!More
Nothing whatsoever against the women up front, who are characteristically warm, kind, polite, personable Balinese women. And others of our group ordered differently and were happy. But the mint-lime drink I had was pretty awful—like drinking dried and reconstituted grass. The chicken curry noodle dish...my wife and I ordered was tired-tasting and disappointing: the fish balls were flavorless and rubbery, the noodles overcooked, to my wife’s taste. The pieces of chicken were numerous but flavorless. I’m an enthusiastic and, uh, not overly discriminating eater — I mop up everything I’m served. Here I left juice and many chicken bits behind. Does this mean I’m a fine diner now?More
I came here about 8 years ago and this Warung was one of the best in Ubud. Fresh flavours, healthy, mind blowing food im an elegant setting run by a wonderful French woman. It seems to have changed hands and accordingly changed a lot. The...staff are still so lovely (no taxes or charges to bill which is refreshing), but the food is not the same. Lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by and drink a beautiful cool lemongrass drink with palm sugar or have a beer though. Maybe they are catering more to western tastes, the few other western diners seemed to be eating what they had, I thought the food is unfortunately better (fresher with more dynamic and authentic local flavours) elsewhere now/ like Yellow Flower Cafe or for more money, Human Locale. Otherwise best street food is up at the eastern end of Jalan Raya and after 5pm, there is an array of choices. where the locals get their takeaway for a few 1000k only.More
Fantastic quality and selection of food, drinks, and personable service - all at very good prices! Some of the best value in Ubud! Definitely a regular favourite for us.
Best food I’ve had in Bali by far. The coconut curry was spectacular and the service was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Ubud.
Huge fans of Melting Wok Ubud we made a reservation as usually it’s impossible to get in here. It was unprecedentedly quiet but the the food was amazing as per usual. The best thing about Melting Wok is the short menus using seasonal produce. For...entree we shared the prawns (to die for batter and delicious accompaniment, and the naan bread with a coconut dipping sauce. For mains we each had a chicken coconut curry and rice, which was fresh, herbaceous and with tasty spices and a plentiful serve. We didn’t need the crepes and coconut pearls but went in for it anyway. Very glad we walked home as our tummies were full to bursting. In the words of my husband, this is one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Will be back before we leave! If I could eat here everyday I would.More
Best food in Bali. We stayed for 5 weeks and ate here a few times a week. The coconut curry is the best we have ever had. We come to Bali every year and this place is a MUST visit.
Great food and the customer service was epic. They loved the kids and made them so comfortable. We’ve been coming here for 10 Years and it’s one of our favourites in ubud that hasn’t gone downhill.
We visited this place for dinner. It was an amazing experience, so delicious and the service was great. We haven’t booked a table, but we've met the owner Geraldine out front, who’s such a friendly and pleasant person, she told us to wait half an...hour, and then we had a table. The cafe is very clean and beautiful. It was one of the most wonderful evenings in Bali, we had a delicious dinner in the beautiful atmosphere. It was a pleasure to practice my French with Geraldin.
