We had a delightful dinner at a table overlooking their beautiful gardens. We started with a beer and glass of rose with spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasty and s very pleasant way to start the meal and consider what to order for the...rest of the meal. I then had the crispy duck with veggies and sambal. While my husband had steamed fish which he enjoyed very much. The meal was tasty the service was friendly. I will definitely be there again for dinner and lunch.More
The setting is beautiful and the service is wonderful. Great food!! It’s wonderful and authentic and the Bintangs are always ice cold.
We tried this resturant due to bad weather and it was close to our villa. The setting looked expensive but we decided to try as it was our last night in Ubud. The service was welcoming & attentive, the food was beautifully presented, very tasty...& not expensive like we expected. The setting is a large airy Balinese hut which is clean & peaceful. The cafe was quite but after being to many other restaurants in town, I was very surprised after eating here. I would expect if they continue with the quality & presentation that they will grow a following quickly. Thanks Chili Cafe for a great meal.More
Lovely, airy dining area with well cooked local food. The staff are really pleasant and friendly but the service can be variable throughout the course of the meal.
Lovely staff and the meal was nice and good value. We chose an Indonesian dish which my husband enjoyed and I had a nice fillet of fish with western vegetables and sauce which was very enjoyable. We would eat here again.
Chilli Cafe provides tables on different levels within the large open pavilion as well as in smaller intimate pavilions within the garden so you’re not sitting on top of everyone else. It was lovely and cool and breezy. We dined there last night and the...service was gracious, the Asian style meals we selected were beautifully cooked and presented, the snapper was fresh and moist and the chicken in Balinese spices was more tender and tasty than similar dishes from more upmarket and expensive places we’ve eaten, AND, the bottle of wine came in an ice bucket! The menu includes Indonesian, Asian and some Western options, as well as freshly grilled in front of you/barbecued meats and fish all reasonably priced. We found Chilli Cafe to be very good value and intend to go back during our stay in Nyuh Kuning to try out some of their other dishes. $A70 for 2 courses each, one dessert and a bottle of locally made wine, we loved it.More
A lovely little restaurant in the quiet village of Nyuh Kuning, close to the Monkey Forest and the busy heart of Ubud. The raw mango salad was my favorite......had it for lunch!! ...took the family back for dinner. Grilled snapper good too!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at chilli. I had the grilled tuna, my husband had the grilled snapper. Both were delicious, and the service was excellent. The surroundings were very comfortable and attractive. I would definitely go again.

We tried several restaurants in Ubud, but the chili cafe was our favourite - during the the whole two weeks on Bali we didn't find anything comparable. There are only indonesion dishes on the menu, which are perfectly arranged/grilled. While in the restaurant you can...see the grill, where your meat or fish is perfectly prepared. The sevice is perfect - courteous and very friendly. A must in Ubud.More

It was a fantastic experience to dine at Chili Cafe. Liked the place for its menu, dessert and the seating. Warm and courteous staff.
The cafe is located in Nyuh Kuning just a few meters away from the monkey forest. We tried their breakfast since it is very near the villa where we stayed. The fruit platter with yoghurt was good. Although, their coffee and tea were too mild...for my taste.. We also tried their main dishes namely, the pepper crusted tuna and their chicken(I forgot the name but it's suppose to be the house special). I specifically liked their tuna because it wasn't dry and they placed mild spices/ herbs on top. We were really glad we have a nearby cafe which was both convenient and served freshly cooked meals.More
