Really nice place with nice view and excellent service. Recommended for a once in a life time experience. Rates are a bit on the higher side but judging by the personal service, personalised menu and really exquisite food, it's well worth it. Highly recommend..

We absolutely loved our experience at Swept Away! We booked the 7 course private dining option and were not left disappointed by any aspect of the evening! From start to finish the service, ambience and food was top class. We were greeted by a lovely host called Diya who introduced us to the restaurant. We were then taken down to our table which was just beautiful - candles lining the river, a huge heart shaped candelabra and flower petals surrounding the area. Our waiter Komang was a highlight of the night, getting the balance between attentiveness, friendliness and leaving us to enjoy our meal just right. We really enjoyed the food and were especially impressed that the restaurant catered to our individual request for a change of one of the menu options. The entire staff working that night should be complimented on their friendliness as no matter who we came across, we were greeted with warmth and politeness. It was the first time my boyfriend and I had ever done anything like this and we can not wait to return to Swept Away Ubud in the future. We had a wonderful evening and it was worth every penny!

Thank you "Swept Away" for an amazing anniversary dinner. We were greeted with wonderful welcoming smiles when we arrived and all evening the staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. We were driven through the gardens in a golf buggy before arriving at the restaurant. We loved our table over looking the river, and the candelabra and beautiful floral decorations created a very special ambiance for our evening. The menu was customised to suit our taste and the food and service was fabulous! We even received a complimentary "Happy Anniversary" cake.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here in February and we literally pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. I scheduled our reservations ahead of time online, however when we got there we were able to switch to a different private dinning area for a view we preferred. The staff was so sweet, accommodating and friendly! We did the 6 course dinner, which also came with a flight of apps with our cocktail before we were seated for dinner. The food serving does seem small at first, but we were stuffed by the end of our meal. They really encourage you to take your time also and there is no rush. The food honestly is ok to good at best, nothing out of this world but the presentation is awesome and the overall ambiance and experience is really what you come for. So happy to have chosen to celebrate my birthday here, the staff definitely helped make it a memorable one and the view, sounds of the river and tress rustling in the wind was comparable to none. Thank you again!

First of let me say that I can’t say one bad thing about this place, from the food to the service everything was just phenomenal! I took my other half there for his birthday dinner whilst in Bali & they went above and beyond with their service, singing happy birthday, a complementary desert with ‘Happy Birthday’ written In it. To top all that off, we had the most amazing view of the jungle & an amazing river streaming below us. The food was Michelin Star quality, fantastic taste and BEAUTIFUL presentation. Needless to say we had a wonderful experience, yes the food is pricey but you get what you pay for!

What an amazing evening! The setting was out of this world, the food was Michelin star level and the staff were so friendly.
The staff really went the extra mile to ensure we had a night to remember.
We were on honeymoon and booked the 100 candle dinner where they place 100 candles around the table and on the river. It was so beautiful & special.
Thanks again to all the fabulous staff!

We found this place while looking for local cuisine with a nice view. And it was definitely unforgettable experience. The restaurant is located inside a resort, we took their shuttle to the riverside restaurant. We had the table right facing the river, it was so calm and beautiful. We ordered duck and mixed satay. The duck was so tender it just melt in your mouth. The mixed satay included chicken, beef and fish. I liked the fish satay the most, full of fragrance from coconut and lemongrass. It was beyond our expectations, would definitely visit again.

For almost two months we stayed in The Samaya Ubud, and almost every day we had lunch or dinner at Swept Away. Good food, excellent service with the great atmosphere and beautiful scenery made us not bored to eat back at Swept Away. Even though we ordered the same menu several times, we still got the same good taste. We thank you to all staff and The Hotel Manager Pak Putu Mahendra for their good service.

On arrival at the hotel lobby we were escorted to a buggy and whisked away to the restaurant below. Swept away sits beautifully along the river banks.
We were seeded at table 11 on the lower terrace deck, a stones throw from the river. We arrived at 5pm and watched this setting morph into a enchanting & romantic stage. Natural music from the flow of the Agung river entertained us. Although we didn't participate in the 100 candles dinner (have already done), the team did prepare the heart shape candelabra for us.
We ordered the Roasted Baby Chicken, Beef Tenderloin and cocktails and all were presented beautifully and tasted delicious.
One does not have to worry about asking for photo's as the staff are happy to take your camera and snap away to make a memorable evening.
Great to catch up with Putu again and a special thanks to Gita for allowing us to have this special table.
Every staff member we encountered were friendly and engaging

Amazing setting with great service. We are gluten free and this was no problem with an entire gf menu available. Delicious but small food serves which is fine for me, but not enough if u are a big eater

Our 14th Visit to Samaya Ubud and we continue to eat every evening at Swept Away Restaurant! Set alongside the Ayung River the menu is significant, ensuring there is enough variety for long stays. With Indonesian, Balinese and European choices, the food quality and serving sizes are excellent. For a very memorable occasion, it is made more significant by booking the 100 candles dinner, which can be set in one of the more secluded locations alongside the River. There is a very extensive cocktail and wine list which suits everyone's palate. The amuse bouche and house made bread with gourmet butter is complementary and gorgeous!! Staff provide excellent and intuitive service.

I planned a surprise proposal for my girlfriend and it turned out incredibly well. The staff members were made aware and there is an in house photographer which took photos of the event. The table that we booked was number 62 and the package that we booked was the royal 100 candle lit dinner.
The table was down a grass embankment and overlooking a river with 100 (didn’t count) candles in the water. There was also a small waterfall which looked really nice as it got dark especially with the candles.
The table was away from the main restaurant and a very intimate setting. It was positioned right at the end of the embankment so that you got a full view of the river. The pictures really can’t do it any justice and I have to say it completely surpassed anything that I could’ve imagined.
The staff were incredibly attentive and the food was perfect as well. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Only thing that I would say that it was by far the most expensive restaurant night that I’ve had by a mile but I wouldn’t change a thing about that night. Maybe skewed slightly about how perfect it was because I left that night with and as a fiancé thankfully.

We stayed at the Samaya for 10 nights in Sept and 8 of those nights we had dinner at the Swept Away restaurant, in addition we had lunch there every day.
The restaurant is located at the bottom of the complex right alongside the Ayung River offering stunning views down the river valley. The menu is extensive and covers Balinese and European dishes and the food quality and portion size was spot on. We enjoyed all of the meals we had at the restaurant from simple lunches to 5 course dinners. All of the staff looked after us really well and couldn’t do enough for us. For my husband’s birthday we booked table 19 and though it rained very heavily the staff still put on a fantastic service to making my husband’s birthday a memorable dinner. To complement the excellent food there is an extensive cocktail list and a good selection of wines on offer. All the staff are a credit to the restaurant and felt that they really wanted us there with them.

Choosing Swept Away Restaurant for my proposal was the best decision I could have made, and I am overjoyed with how it turned out. I booked the 100 candle lit dinner at table 62 which offers complete privacy and is right next to Ayung river. The view of the river and the sound from it combined with the surrounding nature creates a magical scenery. The flickering candles, arranged in the shape of hearts, and generally the whole decoration for the dinner adds an enchanting touch to the already dreamlike setting due to nature.
Regarding the dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Each meal was a culinary delight, skillfully prepared with the finest ingredients.
The level of dedication and attention to detail displayed by the team at Swept Away restaurant was truly remarkable. They listened to my vision and executed my scenario for the proposal flawlessly. Their genuine commitment to making the moment perfect was evident in every aspect, and I will forever be grateful for their efforts. The experience was nothing short of magical, and we cannot thank them enough for making it a memory we will cherish forever.
