Just wow! I looked up what time sunset was and booked this place to arrive while it was still light to see the stunning views. The restaurant is as beautiful as the view. The staff were extremely attentive and the salmon special was some of the best flavours and food we have ever tasted! This is on of the most special restaurants I’ve ever dined at and we will definitely return! We felt that the price point was great for the experience and worth every penny.

We came here for dinner and we’re delighted . The food was great and the view overlooking the river and up the adjacent ridge covered with tropical vegetation was amazing. The restaurant is open to a pavilion on one side and the use of cool marble tiles and ceiling fans throughout makes the place very inviting . Highly recommended

We ate at Indus twice while in Ubud. Amazing food, great service and exceptional views across to Campuan Ridge walk. We were shouted an extra meal by the chef who developed the menu - a lovely gesture. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant was good before. I recently went there with friends. She ordered seafood nasi goreng, which is a basic menu in indonesia. She got a tasteless rice with 2pcs of fried squid and 1pc of fried small prawn. Even cracker was not eatable, as it seemed being fried in cold oil. My other friend ordered pork gyoza and it came with "soup" chilli oil I ordered salmon sashimi, it also same, came in "soup" of soya. I ordered lemongrass-ginger tea. It was just a pot of cheap "sari-wangi" tea bag with 3slices of ginger and 1slice of lemongrass. Their view is amazing. But if you come for their food, forget it.

Fantastic lunch with sensational views. A must visit in Ubud. Food was delicious. Salmon Wagyu Beef Smoked Duck etc... We had 6 dishes to share 2 cocktails a bottle of wine for 1.2m ind rupee. Every dish was superbly presented and delish. Great value late lunch with unbelievable views. Would highly recommend.

What Indus lacks in food, it makes up for in location, with a stunning view of Campuhan Ridge. The terrace is spacious and breezy, with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is tasty, but the portions are pricey and tiny, so we left hungry and feeling ripped off.

Indus Restaurant has always been an excellent option for beautiful views, lovely service and excellent Indonesian food. What you need to know now is that the chef and menu have changed, focused completely on Korean and Japanese food. Of course there are Balinese touches (so does that make it Asian Fusion?), but overall I found the food to be very disappointing (except for the salmon steamed in banana leaf, which was delicious. If you want Japanese or Korean, it is maybe the place for you, though my soba noodles were glommy and sour.

We stumbled upon Indus by accident while taking a walk from our hotel. It was probably one of the coolest restaurants we visited in Ubud. The views are absolutely surprising and so beautiful. We loved that it was a tapas style menu so we could try a variety of things. We loved everything. Prices are a bit higher compared to other places but the atmosphere, the views, and the taste were all worth it.

Evening meal. On our last night in Bali and as a treat we choose to visit Indus after it being recommended as the best place in Ubud for chicken satay by a local; we set off in great hope. Once we found the new location, the old one is still there and no sign to new one, we were shown to an open deck with in the fading light amazing views (might be worth a lunchtime visit). After a reasonable wait for our drinks we chose from an excellent menu and we looked forward to our meal. Then the server came across and announced no peanut sauce, a key part of a chicken satay experience as well as 4 other dishes on the menu, which we had managed to choose 1. My main issue isn't the fact they ran out of an ingredient they should haven't, it was the response and complete lack of care. We weren't offered much except a shrug of the shoulders and would we like hot chilli sauce instead or would we like to change our order to something else. At this point we politely asked to cancel our order and pay for our drinks; to go in search of another source of the chicken satay and its sauce. This garnered zero response and after some time a bill appeared with no form of apology or concern. No one dealt with us except our server. Looking around the dining area it appeared many of the tables hadn't received food in the 30 minutes we there despite being sat with drinks when we arrived. This level of service let down what had, ironically, all the ingredients of a 5 star evening.

As we were staying at Honeymmon Guesthouse we decided to experience 'Indus' this trip. Unfortunately quite disappointed. Our booking was for 6.30pm...we're were back in our room by 8.15pm Our 3 course meal and drinks served within an hour...felt very rushed. Food was average and expensive compared to other restaurants in Ubud. No recommendation or repeat visit for us

I have been to Indus many times and was excited to return for the first time since covid travel restrictions. Unfortunately it was not the experience I had hoped for. The menu has changed and not offering any of our favourites, including pizza, food was not up to previous standards and sadly lacking. I had chicken nasi goreng which consisted of rice, that had a salty or fishy flavour, and a few pieces of fried chicken that were hard and contained bones. The restaurant was unusually empty. Very disappointing, wont be returning.

We enjoyed a fantastic evening here seeing in the new year. The restaurant is very elegant with a spacious dining area, lovely furniture and beautiful views over the valley. The staff were cheerful, professional and accommodating and really helped to make the celebrations - thank you! For NYE, dinner was a 4 course set menu which was all delicious and the DJ was also great, mixing fabulous tunes to see us to midnight. We stumbled upon Indus by chance as we looked for a last minute booking for NYE and were so pleased with how it worked out! Looking forward to heading back for a meal on a regular night, too.

This was not the Indus that I remembered. So disappointed with the food, atmosphere and service. There were two tables on that night and then just us and the staff who stood around talking and laughing loudly in the middle of the restaurant. The food was below standard and when asked if we could just have the ice cream alone she argued that they couldn’t do that because it was to be kept as a whole with the rest of the dish. But why? There was no one else there to serve it to. I certainly will not be going back there and no future recommendations.

We had 2 visits to our long time favourite Indus in a week and were pretty happy with everything. The first time we were celebrating a friend's engagement and wanted everything to be special. Even though we had a booking the restaurant wasn't prepared for us. The food was good, so beautifully presented and even though servings looked small there was plenty. We started with Balinese tapas, tasty morsels with something to please everyone, and then tried the Balinese pork, nasi goreng and beef rendang, all skillfully made and full of flavour. The only dissapointment was the Balinese paella which was a bit runny and the spices a little overpowering. The second visit staff forgot to deliver the amuse bouch and we had to remind them. Staff were friendly and helpful but insisted on trying to clear before we had all finished. The clincher with Indus is the spectacular location overlooking the river and valley. While it's not cheap by Balinese standards, they have a great wine list and the quality of everything is top shelf. The restaurant itself is very stylish and sophisticated. I'll keep coming back to this fabulous place.

A different vibe that few years back with a fusion menu. Have they lost their touch? A double fried Bebek served with a pince of salad.. really hard to cut, and lots of fat around it. Disappointing taste and experience. Side order is rice or rice. Beautiful place and sightseeing. I do remember the fine family cooking style…
