We knew warung Pojok from former visits and went back to have diner with some friends. We ordered 7 different dishes for 6 people. Like on the formwr visits, the people were friendly, food was great and we gave our friends a new experience of...local food. Fresh juice, dishes nicely spiced, especially the Koloke, it's a winner. We'll be back.More
Pretty good food, good service, inexpensive prices, but a bit noisy of an environment due to traffic on the road out front. We went here based on recommendations from a couple of locals and good reviews. It was a fairly good restaurant, but not very...special as to the food and menu. I would go back and would recommend it, but do not expect a very special place. Just good food and good prices with good service.More
Warung Pojok has been always a restaurant that we have to go everytime my family visited Bali for the past four years.
During this last May visit, we saw the restaurant has been renovated and they have bigger not only parking spaces, they also have...bigger eating space area.
We can order foods from menu book or you can also just choose some home cooking foods from their buffet. They serve ready cooked several home cooking foods such as fishes, chickens, vegies, beefs, tofu, ect. The foods are never over night and they always just cooked for the day we eat.
The most great thing about this restaurant, we only paid less than Rp200,000 IDR for 5 of us and some of us ordered fruit juices to drink. This price range was becoming hard to find in Bali nowdays.More
This "warung" (it is really more of a resto) hit many of our checkmarks of excellence. it is fully enclosed and air-conditioned (good because it is located on a busy thoroughfare), very clean, HUGE selection, very fresh and tasty, filling, lightning-fast service from the kitchen....We are locals in Bali, and often eat at warungs for economy, but sometimes just want something a step above that level, This fit that criterion.
This being our first visit, and because we wanted a light lunch, we just had simple seafood fare: my companion had it with fried rice, me with fried noodles. One taste told us we had a winner. Both servings were well loaded with shrimp and squid (no hinting for a spec of seafood), and not at all greasy. We each had a good fresh juice (about 10 kinds available), and our total bill for two was Rp78,000. Most entries were in the Rp20,000-30-000 range; certainly not cheap eats, but below what we consider mid-range, and well worth the cost.
There was a great-looking buffet we can't wait to try for dinner the next time we are in town. There was a wide variety of soups, meats, fish poultry and vegetable in many forms and recopies. All of it looked freshly prepared.
Of particular note: it only closes between 4:00-6:00 am for cleaning. And, they will deliver.
We are definitely returning, there are so many good choices here to explore!More
