We ate there two nights in a row because the staff there were so helpful suggesting traditional Indian food. We seldom eat Indian cuisine and appreciated the suggestions. The manager, Sonu was especially helpful and welcoming. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow morning I’m sure we’d be there again for another India eating experience.

I love my Indian food and we have been back twice since enjoying their food at the restaurant. If you enjoy a very good Indian meal great service do not hesitate and have a meal. Well worth the experience.

Was in bali from a few days and came to spice mantraa!! Not one of the best places to eat but the ONLY BEST!! Felt like I’ve eaten something after ages, the perfect blend of spices and fresh chicken/veggies is to die for. They have this slogan ‘inspirational Indian cuisine’ but actually they inspire the Indian cuisine. But the cherry on the cake was the restaurant manager Mr. Sonu Jaiswal, such a gentleman and amazing at hospitality, super helpful… awesome service and made us feel like we’re his family, would love eat all my meals here every time I visit bali!!!

The restaurant located in South Kuta came recommended and certainly looked very nice on the outside on approach. Inside the place was very tidy, clean and up-market.
The indoors part of the restaurant is also air conditioned.
We asked for poppadoms which we were told as complimentary, they came but was not what we expected (They were prawn crackers) !!!!!
Starter we ordered was the onion bhaji which I order at every indian and I can say very disappointing. It consisted of sliced onions dropped in batter which is far from authentic.
The main course was not a disappointment and was very well cooked
we had -:
Chicken Madras
Chicken Kadaai
Garlic Nan
Basmati Rice
I must say probably the best Indian in Kuta we have been to in terms of food quality.
The service was very polite and the decor pleasing.
A large drawback was the price and the hidden but now frequent taxes on top of the bill.
If you want a good meal you best be prepared to pay $65-70AUD for the trouble

$110 for four ‘barely there’ curry dishes, and some naan. 1 dessert, gulab jamuns, that were soggy too sweet and otherwise tasteless. While the curry was tasty, it was incredibly overpriced, and servings were small. Wouldn’t ever go back to this place. To add insult to injury, $20 of the bill was taxes & service! 😱😤

We had our first ever holiday in Kuta and do love an Indian meal. Umm a little disappointing asked for a Korma and expected something that we would get with a beautiful delicate light korma sauce. You know the nice coconut creamy sauce of a korma . I got something quite different the Sauce was over spiced and nothing like our kormas, it burnt my mouth due to the over abundance of spices. The dish was over spiced and no coconut. The rice was ok but again over spiced and way too hot . It was also extremely expensive. I would advise if your looking for curry like you would experience in the UK don’t go here. Also as said very expensive for Kuta. A bit disappointing really.

Best Indian food in kuta ,very yummy and delicious indian food , both veg and nonveg food is the best. The staff here is very friendly & cooperative also the manager sonu jaiswal is very friendly and gave us good options for food to be tried . If you are bit confused about where to eat this is it guys go for this restaurant without hesitating 🤩🤗👌🏻

We almost didn’t go in here as the prices seemed high.
So glad we did. The food was very very nice, perfect almost. I am no expert Gt eaten Indian all my life. We eat it at least weekly. The saffron rice was perfection. The smoked butter chicken was to die for. The mango smoothie awesome. The desert was exquisite. The only complaint was the serving sizes are a but small for the price you pay. If they just gave you about 25% bigger sizes in the meal it would be a 10 out of 10 for this place. Staff were amazing. Ambiance is incredible. Beautiful food and beautiful place. Highly recommend going. We will go again tonight or next night.

We were so disappointed with our experience last night at this restaurant. We were really looking forward to our food but unfortunately couldn’t wait any longer. After being shown to our seats and given a menu we were then subsequently ignored for 20 minutes. We tried on a couple of occasions to get someone’s attention so we could at least order a drink. Finally I spoke to a lovely young girl and explained we had been sat for over 20 minutes now and would like to order food and drinks. 2 tables had came in well after us and had been served and having their drinks. She said let me go and check and stood at her computer. I was baffled and after another few minutes gone by we got up and left. They smiled and said thank you 😂😂. On the plus side the restaurant is lovely and the food smelt great. If the owner reads this May I suggest you put someone in charge to control what the waiters are doing. It didn’t look like anyone had control of the flow of customers or what was actually happening in the place.

First visit for me, my wife had been one time before. I have to say that i have visited many indian restaurants over my time, Spice Mantraa has to rank as probably the best so far. Absolutely amazing curries, unique taste, everything made fresh. Service was excellent. We had a very short holiday on this occasion, yet we had to go back to Spice Mantraa twice on this occasion. Highly recommended.

One thing is good that was Awesome sitting with nice climate... otherwise poor staff,poor service,seniors r very bad and ignoring us bcoz we were there for pre booking BUFFET.
So they felt they r serving the food on free basis...
Which item we demand, the Manager mr SONU asked coming but not there.
Senior manager(Name missing) was very bad and he is totally ignoring us and keep the distance with all of us, may be he was thinking something..
Also food was not good...
Overall very bad experience..

The food was absolutely amazing the presentation was unbelievable they brought starters out in mini tandoori pots. We asked for our mains to be made spicy and they did to our heat perfectly, staff were great came and asked after starters how long until we wanted mains so had a 15 min break and food came out right on time even tho they were quite busy. Can’t say a bad word about this place. Best food we had in Bali and the best Indian restaurant we have eaten at abroad.

This restaurant was by far our best dining experience during our 1 week stay in Bali.
The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They remembered us when we returned. They came to see if everything was ok once we received our food and the manager also came out to make sure we were happy and asked for any feedback.
The food was exceptional. Tasty and tender meat dishes, not over salty or sweet like so many Indian dishes I have had at other restaurants.
Everything was fresh and very good sized portions. 1 dish would be enough for 2 to share.
Highly recommend.

We booked the same day for the evening, for three people.
The restaurateurs were very friendly and spoke English very well.
We shared several dishes with friends.
We asked for the dishes to be slightly spicy.
A little more expensive than other restaurants in Bali. But the value for money remains very good.
That was delicious.
I recommend.

I visited Spice Mantra to try Authentic Indian Food away from home while travelling with family on a vacation here to Bali. Without even a second thought I must share that food here was great and upto the taste of it's authenticity as promised by them. The staff Ukta, Surya and Andini were always ready to serve, assist and welcome with smile for any query or request. The ambience was very lively, service was truly paid attention at all times also the washroom was very clean.The restaurant was easy to locate and is just opposite to Discovery Mall. Highly recommend for people who want to try Authentic Indian Food. Thank you Spice Mantra for making our dining experience.
