Cafe Havana is toted as a Cuban restaurant and it definitely has that ambiance especially on Thursday and Sunday evenings when there is live music and salsa, but the menu is not entirely authentic Cuban. There is a lot of Spanish influence with papas and paella, some Latin influence with empanadas and some Mexican influence with tacos. The space is... More

Super tasty food. We ended up getting basically all the tapas (which was way too much) and it was all delicious. Just thinking about the cheese balls and jalapeño poppers again is making my mouth water. Super friendly staff and great cocktails.

My impression from reading the good reviews about this place is that the magic happens in the evening. We went here twice for lunch as it was near our hotel and recommended in our guidebook. They have a nice patio and strong mojitos. The food was good but honestly not amazing. The first time we got two entrees and the... More

Curious memorabilia about Cuba provides great ambience. Graffiti on the walls adds to the charm. Food was great. Wish we were there for the live performance .

Very excited when I saw there was a Cuban restaurant in Ubud and when i checked out their menu online. Didn't pay attention to the reviews as I am from Latin America and thought tourists from other countries not close by wouldn't understand the food.......I SHOULD HAVE JUST READ AND NOT GONE! Cool set-up with a nice ambiance, and BAD... More

I went here for dinner with a couple of friends because I once travelled in Cuba and was curious to see what their take on Cuban food in Bali would be, and it was actually surprisingly good! I wouldn't necessarily bother with the starters, although they did have some nice salsas. I had the pork and black beans dish for... More

We were looking for pre-dinner drinks and wandered in here. We sat out the front and enjoyed a couple of mojitos (very good) and a few empanadas (delicious!). The band was setting up inside and my boyfriend had been saying how he really wanted to see a live band that night so once they got playing we moved into the... More

Great bar. Shisha in grape and mint was delicious. We didn't eat but drinks were good and generous nip!

The location was great, the food authentic. The pork and black beans was like being in Havana again. The band was great as was the service. My only gripe was the salsa or lack thereof. The staff were too busy dancing with the regulars/experts to dance with the newcomers. We tried to get their attention and even danced ourselves but... More

I am so glad you found the food to be authentic and brought back happy memories of being in Havana. I'm sorry you missed out on learning to dance.. some members of Ubud Salsa Club who are professional dancers come with their paying clients to dance to the live band. Cafe Havana waiters and waitresses are available to partner guests... More

We only had some drinks and appetizers. There was also the live band on that day, we liked the atmosphere in general, it was full of positive energy. Drinks and nachos were good, not sure about the food thou.
