My fiance and I were in two minds about visiting Agra. The Taj Mahal was closed due to the coronavirus outbreak and we were contemplating heading straight through to Delhi before heading home. After much thought, and a few coin tosses, we decided to head...to Agra for a night. After all we had come too far to not see the Taj Mahal, even if it was to be from a distance. We are so glad we did! After a hot and sweaty train journey we were warmly greeted at the Taj Resort Hotel. Our room was excellent and very clean. The highlight was our candlelit dinner at the Taj Terrace, which overlooked the cityscape and the silhouette of the Taj Mahal. To our total surprise and delight,our hosts had lined the balconies with balloons, showered the table with rose petals and created a candlelit dinner we will always remember. Our waiter, Hakim, was excellent - exceedingly attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. Hakim recommended the Paneer Tikka Masala, which was rich and flavorsome. They even threw in a complementary dessert! Thank you everyone for turning what could have been a disappointing trip into something we will remember forever! It is fantastic that even in a global crisis people will still come together to share and create fantastic experiences!More

In spite of corona , we are given special attention in food and music along with good accommodation. We could not enter Taj Mahal but enjoyed our stay in hotel Taj Resort. Steward Hakim Singh is polite gentle in providing dinner on 16th & 17th...for us. Feel like visiting once again and enjoy the hospitality .More

Our server Hakimsings was very excellent. The food here is the best in India. Everything we had was top notch. The atmosphere is unlike anything else. For dinner there is live music and everything is on the rooftop with views of the Taj Mahal. 10/10...I eat here every meal on our trip!More

My mum and I visited while staying in the hotel. The food is absolutely amazing. 2 curries, 2 naans and a rice to share at a super reasonable price. Our server Mr Khan ( general manager) was lovely... Very attentive, courteous and welcoming. He showed...a genuine interest in us, served our food and provided complimentary poppadoms and an authentic Indian dessert to try. Cannot fault the restaurant. It had a lovely ambience,a great view and live Indian music to accompany our meal.More

My wife and I had a very nice and romantic dinner at the Taj Terrace. The food was delicious and the portions were large. Our server Hakim Singh made our experience very special. Best service ever!
