I visited this place for dinner with my family. Tried the famous Bone Marrow omlette, meat balls, Mutton Biriyani, Egg paratha, Chicken Chettinad, None of the dishes were above average. Some of the dishes were extremely overpriced.
They serve with real love as your mum serve you. Do try the Kari Dosai & Briyani which is better than Konar Mess. The Restaurant more clean and the staffs are very accommodative.

We visited Amma mess on the way from Kodai to chennai. Had lunch there. Very tasty South Indian non-veg food. Tried fish fry, mutton Biryani, marrow omelette, prawns 65. Local flavour and simply enjoyed it. Will go back again.

We went there with lots of expectations. The quality of food didn't meet any of our requirements. Had heard good review. Probably things have changed. They had a wide variety of uncommon dishes but the taste is average. It's too pricey.
Bone marrow omlate is a special dish here crab omlate and sea food omlate are the speciality. Biryani is very tasty but the mutton is not cooked very well. The mutton biryani seems a little lesser in quantity for one person, if eaten only mutton...More
