Went here for a good coffee (lonely planet lately is not working well) and a slice of cake. We ordered the most expensive espresso we had so far in India (100 INR/each) and the quality was poor to bad. We wanted some cake and there was a list of dozens but we were told that none was available, only pancakes... More

Really cute rooftop place with a nice view of the lake and surroundings. Alas, no bakery items available (which is a shame for a French bakery), so we ended up having pancakes and fruit salad for breakfast. Pancake with honey was good, fruit salad was nothing special. Chocolate lassi was nice! Friendly staff.

Visited the cafe on the 9th September 2016. We went after reading about it in Lonely PLanet and on Tripadvisor, however, they were not offering anything except the basic egg and toast and beverages for breakfast currently. All other bakery and Tandoor (Indian Clay oven) stuff will actually be available only in peak season, say from November to Feb...though the... More

Promises, promises, promises. Was told no bean coffee available, machine broken. No bakery items available, dreams of good reviews quashed :( Had banana pancake, stodgy and lacking flavor. Will not return.

Very kind people work there, good food and OK view. The importent thing is if you ask them for non spicy food they will bring you a less spicy one witch is eatable

The food was excellent - Indian style spicy but not too spicy. No French patisserie to be seen despite the menu listing them. Best table service in weeks.

Unsure of what to order, we ordered a sizzler and one thali. The thali was priced at rs.200 and had 3 awesome ghee rotis, chole, Sabzi, kadi, curd, rice, dal and gulab jamun. The sizzler was indianised. Chicken used was fresh and deep fried with flavoured coating. Stuffed capsicum and tomatoes along with grilled veg. Taste to suit an Indian... More

This is a nice cafe, right next to the city palace gates and serves excellent food. It also has a small library attached to it. The library does not have many books now, but it is very much there. The street is a bit crowded, but you have the advantage of sitting inside and watch the many activities of the street.
