Decentralized but very typical hotel, at the end of an ugly street and difficult to reach by car (tuk tuk recommended, even from the airport) 5 minutes from the clock square. Rooms of average Indian size, absolutely well furnished, with a balcony overlooking some houses under construction and a small temple below. large bathrooms but totally devoid of welcome kit. The access door to one of the two rooms did not close. Roof and turret on the top floor in a spectacular position overlooking the city and right under the fort. Breakfast, always on the roof and therefore outdoors and in the cold, unfortunately only vegetarian and absolutely minimal: either spicy Indian or just tea/coffee and toast with butter and jam, no omelette or fruit juice not even on request. The owner is a nice and extremely helpful person, highly recommended for a trip to the old city (for a fee, obviously) as he is also an authorized guide. Staff always friendly and helpful.

This place is so special first of all because of the staff. When you get there you will find nice people welcoming you with smile and kindness. You can have your meal on the rooftop from which you can enjoy a nice view of the fort and all Jodhpur city. The menu is simple and very authentic, but the best way to order is asking to the staff and they will prepare you a fantastic rajastani meal. All the food is freshly prepared and the service is quick, so you just have to come there, relax and enjoy your stay.

Really great restaurant. All the food was very tasty, view right in front of Mehrangarh fort light up, service was was also really responsive and polite. They went extra mile and went out and got a drink that I requested! Will definitely be recommending and coming back.

Dev Kothi is an excellent Homestay in Jodhpur where we spent 3 nights. We ate on the Rooftop terrace every morning and evening and enjoyed every mouthful! Mahi is the young chef at the Homestay and was taught by his Mother. She did a great job and his food was delicious! He was clearly an excellent student! He was even quite happy to have me spend time in the tiny kitchen and take notes as he cooked our dinner. Ask for the Curry Pakora, you wont be disappointed!! Thank you Mahi!!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The hosts were wonderful, and the food was outstanding, prepared by the talented young cook Mahi using local dishes and fresh vegetables grown in nearby villages. The rooms were impeccably clean and tastefully furnished. This has been our best stay in India so far! We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jodhpur. Don’t miss the wonderful view on Mehrangarh fort from the roof top!

The location is very good. The rooms are good and comfortable. Good bathroom, air conditioning works. The rooftop is pretty. As for breakfast, I think there was a communication failure. There came only 2 toastes and butter and a black coffee. To say this is included coffee is kind of complicated. Then, we asked if there was anything else coming. At that moment, they called the owner of the place, we talked to him on the phone and after that, there began to come plenty of food, fruits, Indian breads with pancakes picles. I mean, I will not say that this was a negative point, as it may have been just an occasional problem. What really remained as a negative point is the insistence on hiring other services, such as guides, drivers, tours, dinner at the hotel, etc. And the staff does not seem to like it much if you say no. The staff almost assumes that you're going to dinner at the hotel just because you're staying there. And if you say you don't want to, roll that bad climate. I think it's all right to offer services, but being under pressure is very bad.

The restaurant is located in a rooftop above a boutique hotel. As soon as you entry you already feel like at home. Don't think is an elegant, sofisticate restaurant. This is more a family taverna where the owner (Manu) and the chef (Vasu) will do their best to accomodate your request. The entire staff is amazing amiable and friendly. The food is authentic Indian food. No meat, no eggs and a lot of spices, but if you want you can ask Les spicy. I really recommend this place especially if you are looking something authentic, cheap and easy going. Forgot to mention that the terrace has a fabulous vieee just in front of the Fort.

The restaurant is al fresco with a stunning view both of the fort and the city itself. The staff could not be more helpful; they take huge pride in looking after their guests and in doing so, serve fantastic, fresh and home made vegetarian food. Despite Jodhpur having many places to eat, I decided to have dinner here all 3 nights of my stay.

It offers an unobstructed view of Jodhpur's hilltop fort, which dates back to the 1800s. Jodhpur is famous for its rooftop restaurants, and this is probably one of the best. However, the menu is not expensive and is very reasonable, so I go there almost every day. The roads are a little hard to find, but when I first stumbled upon this place while walking around, I was thrilled by the quiet atmosphere of this hidden gem and the great vantage point overlooking the city. The food is delicious, the menu is extensive, and the service is attentive. They also have a morning menu from 7:30-10:00, so you can spend a wonderful time feeling the cool morning breeze. I highly recommend it.

This is a lovely rooftop restaurant, with the best view of the fort imaginable. The food was delicious, and I can highly recommend the special lassi. Special mention has to go to chef Mahi, who not only cooked us a delicious meal, but was also wonderful to talk to, telling us all about his background and his family. We really felt at home. The owner Manu was also very welcoming, and it was great to hear how he provides opportunities for new cooks to learn the trade. If you're in Jodhpur, definitely don't miss out on this lovely spot.

Such an authentic place to have a dinner, situated under the fort with a fantastic view of the town. As soon as we arrived the host welcomed us and showed us where we could sit. He is a young passionate chef, he made sure we had the best experience possible. I definitely suggest you to have a visit there you won’t regret it.

Amazing restaurant Amazing view Amazing people They make you feel like home, the chef is a young and talented man and he’s genuinely nice. The view of the Fort is incredible we had no words we felt so lucky to eat in front of this landscape. We’ve also stayed the night at their hotel and the rooms are so beautiful. Thanks for the love.

The view from this rooftop is unbeatable and this and the warm, welcoming staff are what make the restaurant. We sat down in the evening and watched the sun go down, had a couple of beers and watched the kite flying. When we enquired about food, they suggested some curries they had made specially so we ordered those. We had two lovely homemade curries, roti and rice made by Mahi- he said he had learned a new recipe from his mum at the weekend! We loved it, as some of the Indian food we have had had been very heavy, but this was perfect. It may not be the slickest restaurant in the world, but it is homely, honest and has tasty food and great views.

Wonderful meal at the Dev Kothi rooftop restaurant. We were welcomed by owner Manu and his team. Met the lovely young chef who cooked a gorgeous meal while enjoying the best views of the fort - you are closest here than any other restaurants we could find. This is the best view!

The rooftop has one of the best views in the city with the blue buildings topped by the very impressive fortress above. In the other direction you can see all of Jodhpur and the Umaid Palace. It's a really lovely place to relax after a days sightseeing. We asked Manu, the owner of the hotel, for something traditional of Jodhpur and he came back with 3 fantastically delicious dishes that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. It was just a lovely relaxed atmosphere and a very nice, welcoming place to stay and we would return on future visits to Jodhpur.
