My wife loves the massive prawns in a half pint pot for starters. Lovely chargrilled cajun fish dish which I have had many times. Good value for money and never had a bad dish here.

Located just off the main Senagambia strip opposite Scala, the Kora is an excellent plane to eat. The service was very friendly and high quality and the flavours in the food were outstanding. So far our favourite restaurant of the holiday.

We have come here for many years, now, and if the restaurant continues like this, we shall not go there anymore. The service is still good of course, but the food is worsening. The only fish they offered during our 4 weeks stay was butterfish. We also suspect the chips are no longer made from fresh patatoes but Industrial and... More

This place has unique Menu with a few Mexican dishes to die for.. The fajitas are second to non in The Gambia. Perfect place to be on the weekends for dinner and after hours the lights go low and the music goes up. The Kora has a great America. Style bar with a wide range of alcohol on display. Great... We meet up with friends we met on holiday and had the two for one cocktails (great value) and then a meal. The food was lovely my only gripe would be we both had sizzling fajitas but the dips selection was very small I would think designed for one but we had to share. Worth a visit and good value.

We go every year and the food the service are very good. This year we met up with friends there. 10 of us ate together and the service was great. Good place for fussy eaters.

We ate here twice during our holiday, returning partly because the food is lovely but also because the staff are so attentive. The first night we were the only customers! So we got one-to-one service all night and played a few games of pool with our waiter afterwards (he let my partner win, a true gent!). Next time the restaurant... More

The food is a little bit more expensive here but worth it. The service led by Lamin Ceesay is always attentive and approachable. The bar staff with Alieu at the Helm are also very friendly and always there to help with a large choice of drinks available. Ricky the owner is very nice and always makes us feel welcome! Thanks... Situated on the 'chic-er' side of the strip, The Kora has been dubbed the little oasis in the heart of the sometimes manic village of the Senegambia area. Serving a varied and international choice of cuisine, The Kora mainly focuses on a grilled style of cuisine using only the freshest catches and finest cuts of food. We are also very well known and popular for our bar (we challenge you to show us a better looking bar in The Gambia) containing what is quite probably the largest alcohol collection in The Gambia and dispensing the finest cocktails on the West African coast. Don't take our word for it - read our reviews and hear what the customers say themselves! An eclectic selection of music accompanies you at your table, setting you in a relaxed mood either around our outdoor bantaba (terrace) or inside amongst rich West African wood architecture. Soak in the relaxed yet intimate atmosphere and enjoy local art works/pictures/crafts/paintings that surround you.Once we have satisfied your belly and soothed your soul allow us to stimulate your mind and senses as we become a lively and friendly bar attracting a true cross section of Gambian residents and tourists in a welcoming melting pot.
