Superb meal

We went for an evening meal and had a great time. The staff are the owners so it is a very personal, friendly and attentive service. The choice on the menu was excellent - lots of choices on the general menu plus many specials on the day. It is a lovely setting beside the water. They serve soft drinks and also an excellent white wine and beers. We had the chicken curry which was delicious and a great portion size including a popodom, chutney, rice and roti. Very reasonable cost. The best new we had during our week in Savusavu.

We went to Surf and Turf three times in the 10 days we were in Savusavu. Each meal was very good to great. The first night was fish in curry sauce. Second was seafood pasta. Third lobster and ahi. The staff is friendly. The owner/chef was helpful in recommendations and specially designed the seafood pasta for us. Nice waterfront location. Prices on the high end for the town, but in line with quality and still about half the price of US. Highly recommended.

We just kept going back for more. Beautiful people, wonderful food what more can I say? We went for dinner 3 nights and it didn’t disappoint. The owners and family were so friendly and welcoming, if we are ever back in Savusavu this restaurant would be on our must visit list. Vinaka vaka levu 💕

Very very very disappointing

We went for dinner on New Year’s eve, anticipating a special evening given the previous reviews. We could not have been more disappointed. It felt as though the very limited menu choices were based upon what leftovers they wished to use from the fridge. $80 for ‘a seafood platter’ which was grossly overpriced and tasteless. 4 calamari rings, 2 halves of two different lobsters (the tail meat was approx 4cm in length) and a tiny side salad. Sadly I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Ripped off

Went for dinner on a Sunday night, should’ve realised something amiss when we were only patrons. Surroundings were average, food was okay but grossly overpriced as were the drinks. The bill was A$177 for two people and the following day we had a better meal, same cocktails etc. elsewhere for half the price and a much nicer atmosphere.

Beautiful, quality meals

Upon arriving in Savusavu, we were just looking for somewhere to have a quick lunch. Thankfully, we stumbled upon Surf and Turf straight away. We had many great meals in a variety of places during our week-long stay in Savusavu, but this was right at the top of our list. The friendly owner-chef made our food to order, and the welcoming and friendly staff were very hospitable. The food was totally delicious, great value, and our only regret was not being able to get back there for more. We highly recommend to anyone staying in Savusavu.

Best Food in Savusavu!

Wow…. The best food I have had in Fiji! A rotating menu board and everything is so fresh and thoughtful. Great little spot and don’t let the weird hallway to get to the restaurant discourage you! The pricing is more expensive than typical local restaurants but it is so worth it!

Excellent food

This is an excellent restaurant for both local and international food. The chef (Vijen) is former chef with Namale and Couteau resorts, and therefore very experienced. He makes delicious food, with this freshly bought ingredients from the local market. If you want lobster, mud crabs or even fancy western food like past, this is the place to go.

Delicious food, great experience.

Don’t be put off by the entrance way and basic surroundings. This restaurant had extra ordinary food, so good we ate there twice, and even took home curry for dinner. Anything with their home made pasta was delicious, try the crab and lobster dishes.

Delicious food....Best in Savusavu

Run by an older couple the food was beautifully cooked and delicious. Seafood their specialty. We enjoyed wahu, snapper, mud crab, flipper lobster and prawns. Coconut creme brulee to finish 😋

Possibly the best food in fiji.

The food has to be some of the best we have eaten in the world. And we are international foodies. Had kokoda then slipper lobster curry and seafood crepe. So good it was hard to even speak after such sublime dining. When you walk in it hardly looks like a restaurant delivering such fine food, but get past the front door and you won’t regret it. It’s beyond wonderful. Congrats to the chef and his small but perfect team.

Best food in Fiji

Had the most amazing food experience here on a family trip that we went twice! Sad that we didn’t get through the entire menu as everything we tried was beyond delicious. Although the restaurant doesn’t look like much, do not judge a book by its cover! The food was so flavoursome with freshly sourced local ingredients. Looking forward to our next Fiji trip so we can try more dishes from the menu.

Best food we had in Fiji!

This was the best food we had in Fiji, hands down. The restaurant even stayed open later for us when we called trying to escape the terrible food at our resort. We ate here twice during our stay and would happily have gone again. The Chef truly knows what he's doing. Everything is perfectly executed and all of the flavors are balanced and delightful. The Curry was probably the best we've ever had. Phenomenal filet mignon and sweet, buttery lobster. Seafood pasta and Ahi Sashimi all were amazing. The staff were truly the definition of hospitable. "You are our guests" they said multiple times. We felt wanted and honored as guests of theirs. Don't let the front of this building scare you off. It doesn't look like much from the entrance but it opens up into a lovely space with a water view and a wonderful meal waiting for you!

Great food and lovely family running it

Had a lovely meal and surf and turf - whilst they do the standard meat and veg / burgers, they also have a more fijian side to the menu also. They were about to close when we arrived, but reopened and treated us amazingly whilst we were there. We were really grateful. We both had really nicely cooked steaks and really enjoyed the whole experience. Great local business to support who really appreciate your custom!

So good we returned 2 days later

Outstanding fresh tuna and lobster. The owners were lovely and incredibly attentive. We returned a few days later and had the most delicious mud crab and Kokoda. A very nice location with gorgeous views of the lagoon. Highly recommend.
