We ended up eating there 3 times during our 5 day stay in santa cruz. The tuna is amazing and it was the best food we ate in Galapagos

We first went to visit to drink some local beers and then decided to stay for dinners. A pleasant surprise- situated on the main streets just alongside the pavement with outdoor seating, the food and service was very good.

The chicken curry was fantastic as was all our food. This place fills up with large parties and gets quit noisy. Consequently the service is slow, on the verge of being ignored.

This restaurant is a good option for lunch. Although it's a bit expensive the food is delicious. The encocado shrimp is very good.

The power went down just as we arrived at the restaurants along the waterfront. La Garrapata was one of the few with a backup generator. Dinner was quite nice despite the power outage - nice enough that we went back a few days later. Very nice.

We picked this restaurant as a result of the reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant is very nice for Santa Rosa. The menu is extensive, the prices were very reasonable and the portions were very generous. I had the Yellow tuna special, straight from the market that morning and my wife had the arroz y pollo. Both were well prepared and... More

I ordered a seafood platter and it was terrible. The dish was to be made in wine or garlic, however the chef must have screwed up and made both of us, as the dish was very strong taste of both. The squid and octopus were hard, the pod was bark, at last horrible. I informed the waiter that he would... More

La Garrapata was one of three local restaurants recommended to us by our host. The service was a little slow but the food was excellent and we enjoyed eating there. That said, from the photos in the restaurant it’s clear that the place lost its views long ago - when Puerto Ayora developed in the 1980s. Today, all that’s left... More

I joined a friend here in the afternoon and he had thoughtfully saved some of his meal for me to try. If I hadn't have already eaten I would have most definitely ordered a meal based on this taster! The tuna with sesame seeds was delicious and cooked perfectly and the avocado was just right, with a lovely soy sauce... More
