We have a late lunch, probably around 2 pm already when we arrive in Cotacachi. Lunch was included in tour, so this is the restaurant where they took us in Cotacachi. The restaurant look so small outside, but once we get inside is much deeper than I thought. The small entrance brought us to a roomy place where we all... More

The restaurant was ok at best...I actually was sick the next day ,can I say it was the food not a certainty. But won't be back to see. The set up of the tables and the bathrooms was totally odd. The menus had quite a few selections and others said the hamburger was good.

Our tour group stopped here for lunch. Grilled prawns and Limeade were excellent. Food came with free appetizer plates of a corn and tomato salad topped with pork rinds and a bowl of popcorn (but the popcorn was heavily salted). There was a large party of locals there (looked like a birthday), but we were told mostly tourists eat there.... More

Cotacachi is the place to buy leather goods in northern Ecuador. It's about two hours drive from Quito with good highway and scenic views (Cayambe volcano). One can buy a nice leather jacket for under $100 particularly if you go early I the week. Nice restaurant on the main leather shopping street in town when you want to take a... More

Had the typical lunch. but the soup was bland, the beef was very fatty and was more grizzle than meat. Wouldn't try again myself!

D'Anitas's is right on the main street in town - convenient to everything. Their menu is varied and the food is very good. It has a lovely garden-like atmosphere.

We stopped there for lunch Our guide suggested the place. The lunch menu was great. A 4 course meal for $7. The food was well prepared and the service prompt. The staff were very friendly. This is a great place to eat if you are in the area.

I had a lunch that was spectacular! The Menu del Dia was inexpensive, and better than many meals I've had in the U.S. that were 3 times the cost! Delicious soup, followed by the main course of beef stroganoff over rice, with a lovely fresh salad and steamed vegetable, followed by a mini-banana split dessert! Really, truly yummy!

I had the almuerzo, the special lunch. It was substatial and very good, although a bit pricey for Cotacachi. That is probably because it is on leather street. I hear they have good breakfasts as well.

The food was well prepared, in a clean, quiet nice setting. The staff was courteous, and the food was delicious.
