The restaurant itself is small and cozy, and the music goes with the theme. The pasta and the pizza didn’t take very long, and the flavors were really good. The waiter was friendly and very attentive. Overall, I’d recommend.

The food was really good, I went two times (got pizzas on both) and they were amazing. Deserts are delicious too.
The guys attending the restaurant were top notch, very friendly and kind, even going as far as offering us free desert for our second visit.
Only complaint would be that they had some missing ingredients on both occasions which made us change our order (lemon for the lemonade, or rugula for the pizza). That's minor though, but they could try to improve their stock.

The food tastes good, but - especially for Colombian standards - is incredibly expensive. The portions are far too small. We had 2 glasses of wine, 1 bruschetta (3 small pieces), 1 very expensive mini-pasta (a few prawns inside) and 1 pizza. We paid about € 45 !!! and left the place still hungry. Never again.
By the way, the restaurant is situated on the road where it is marked in Google, but on the opposite side of the road.

Bacco Trattoria is in the San Diego area of Cartagena, not far from Plaza Fernandez Madrid and Plaza San Diego. It's very small with two rooms that are air-conditioned if that's important to you. The back room is cooler than the front room due to the door opening and closing so frequently. Our server was wonderful, so friendly and helped us with our Spanish translation. The pizzas are relatively thin crust which we prefer and probably about 10 inches in size. If you aren't very hungry, they are large enough to share, perhaps with a side salad. I ordered the Hawaiian and my husband ordered the Margarita. They were both good but nothing extraordinary and for my taste, had too much cheese. With that knowledge in hand, I wouldn't hesitate to return but would ask for very light cheese which I believe would definitely make me a much more satisfied diner. I think Bacco is definitely worth a taste test and if nothing else, you will enjoy the service which is absolutely excellent.

After reading the reviews I was excited to try this restaurant. It is a bit hard to find, as it is tiny, but the decor and restaurant itself is charming. The waitress was nice as well. Unfortunately, though my dish (canellones de espinaca) looked scrumptious, it was actually rather bland and a bit disappointing. (I probably should have listened to the other reviewers and tried the pizza instead.) Also, I went for lunch, and the restaurant lacked AC, making it very uncomfortable to sit and enjoy a relaxing meal in the humidity.

Great service and a waiter with the biggest smile I’ve had in Colombia! Such fantastic home made pasta (tortellini was 11/10), big portions and reasonable prices.
Incredible food, honestly. Best Italian in 9 months of travelling (which has admittedly included some very questionable pasta) but this was way way above the competition.

Only had the bruschetta since we only had a small lunch. They were very tasty though and still quite a lot! Service was great. Recommend this place!

Really really good! Small Italian place in the Old City...a little hard to find but worth the journey.
We had Cesar Salad with chicken. Pizza with meat. Lasagna with meat. Spaghetti Carbonara. 1 soda and 2 bottle waters. Good service. A/c. Free breadsticks and garlic butter when you sit down. Our bill was around $60 USD.
Portions are big too so come hungry:-))
If craving Italian you will leave here happy!!!

My friend who were in Cartagena celebrating loves pizza so she scoured trip advisor and found this place based on the pizza reviews. It did not disappoint! This was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had, and that includes from Italy! The owner helped wait on us and her hospitality cannot be beat. She was inviting, helpful and seamlessly accommodating. They hand make all the food/pasta in house and it couldn’t be better. She offered us city maps and recommendations, unfortunately we were leaving the next day. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant serves authentic Italian food right in the middle of Colombia. It can be hard to miss but look for it and make a point to visit this secret gem, the food Is delicious!

we had a few really fun dinners here. great individual thin crust pizza in an italian setting with appropriate music and interesting decor. it can get busy here! san diego area is very safe day or night. worth a visit!
