JJ the proprietor is a great guy. A Chinese national who lived in Texas for 40 years; he knows something about beef ribs. Slow-smoked for 8 hours, then finished to perfection. He makes his own sauces. He even roasts and salts his own peanuts. The bar itself has a great position overlooking the inland waterway. Country music blares out (perhaps... More

A great Texas BBQ Bar and Restaurant located in Hai Wan Park overlooking the bay with both indoor and outdoor seatings. Very authentic BBQ ribs and meats, pizzas and local fares. Live band plays rock and contemporary music till late, dancing for the free spirits.

Wonderful place. There were quite a few full tables as well. We sat out on the deck/waterfront, enjoyed the live music and some good food. I had the steak sandwich w/frys, beer is cold, staff are on their toes, good selection of BBQ and foods you'd find at a BBQ as well. I'll go back.

Hamburgers, Pasta, pulled pork sandwiches. Edible and affordable. Nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere on the waterfront. Great western music played by a great band. Full bar.

This time i just had 15 hrs to spent in Xiaman and i rememberd JJ from an earlier visit. Still a great place with a host ( maybe he is called JJ ) who makes all your wishes possible. I am a vegetarian, so henadjusted his texmex food menu to my satisfaction.

We were at this place during the may day long weekend... 五一节. Where to begin. Food was egregiously poor quality. There is no meat in the chicken sandwich! Only chicken fat and skin! 恶心... By contrast, the pork ribs were so dry they were closer to jerky than BBQ... The atmosphere was a little weird. Some of the local people... More

Have to say for a beer it is a nice place on a great location. Pity the music is so loud you cannot talk anymore. If the band was good it would be not such a problem. They play so so. and the sound system is a joke. Food I would forget, what a disaster for that money. Washrooms are... More

Band is fantastic! Playing popular songs and doing it very good! Drinks are good, snacks too, atmosphere is friendly. Recommended place to drink and dance in Xiamen!

An American style bar serving fast food and Desperados Beer which was a great find. A bit of a mix up with the food order, however, a really good live band as entertainment. Reasonable prices with a good outlook onto the sea. Not too busy during the week. Worth dropping in for a beer and to catch the band, a... More

Lucked upon J.J.'s and even luckier to find it when Jeff was in residence with his Longhitter golf buddies. Texas BBQ exactly what was needed after a week of local cuisine. Band starts at 8:30pm and then the crowds roll in. Fantastic ambiance on the water. As close to Texas as you'll get in Xiamen!
