this place was fine, and you will get a decent filling meal at a place where actually a lot of locals go. they cook the meat and fish well, but there is no flavor. i also think i got food poisoning that night after eating their salmon :/ the big loud atmosphere and casual look with lots of screaming babies... You will occasionally get a "great" meal but most of the time it is just "good" but also decently priced when considering the local competition. It is popular and can be packed full. Partly closes (closes one dining room) in late afternoon.

We were 4 adults and 6 children in hiker gear, warming received at La Picada de Carlitos. We had been snubbed at one other place and it was great to walk in and not be glared at. The food was excellent, very Chilean. The lamb was incredible and the King Crab a fun & tasty experience for everyone. The only... More

They generously allowed us to eat although we arrived very close to their closing time. We arrived here after the TDP trek and we were up for a good steak. We can say that their tomato soup isn't very good, it doesn't have the taste of real tomatoes. Their steak and fries were great, just what we needed after a... More

This was the first restaurant we visited on our 10 day trip to Patagonia. We ate in the best places in Natales, Arenas, and El Calafate. Not only the food at this place was the best, it was also the least expensive. One plate of lamb will feed two hungry people and satisfy 3, so dont order too much. Their... More

My first centoya.. and I almost died of happiness! Excellent food and quick service. Portions are large (a little too large for the plates, but who cares?) and satisfying.

The BBQ entree was amazing - although I was solo and wishing I had about 3 other people to help me eat it! Delivered to the table in it's own charcoal brazier - I had leftovers for days. This is BBQ in the classic sense of the cooking technique - not the sauce. Showy "Smoking Room" in front window with... More

We were looking for a place to eat before starting our hiking at the Torres del Paine National Park! We walked for almost a hour looking for a restaurant ... Picata de Carlitos was packed and although with a visual that does not meet our standards we decided to give it a try! What a mistake... Chairs were nasty... Tables... More

We went there for dinner and had salmon and fries with a small bottle of wine. It was good food, not fancy. The service was good and very helpful.

The first time was before the 'w' and we eat cheaply, pasta all round. This was fine, simple but good. The staff were helpful and the prices are good for chile. The next time was after the trek and we fancied a nice meal. We had seen the parillada and thought it looked good so we ordered one for two,... More
