It has been 3 years since I was last in Siem Reap, so was looking forward to returning to the New Hope restaurant and taste their tasty food. I wasn’t disappointed. This restaurant is really secluded in the village and we happened to be the only patrons at lunch. They are working on a new menu so actually the set menus shown on TripAdvisor are not ready. But when we showed them the menu we see...here, they were willing to prepare it for us. The food is good. Their fish amok is our favorite during our trip as it is the only one we tasted that has cauliflower and the cauliflower blended so well with the fish and sauce. This training restaurant is located within the same compounds as the schools that the organization is operating for the hundreds of marginalized children in the area. Although the location is slightly out of the main path, the restaurant was packed when we got there, signifying...its popularity. I would recommend making a reservation if you can. We decided to come here after our morning tour of Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm, and after lunch at this restaurant, we proceeded to the Apopo Center that is very close by before heading back up to the temples. I would recommend doing this rather than having lunch at one of the tourist restaurants close to the temples. The organization makes a concrete contribution to the community, and dining with them supports this cause.More

the New Hope is a restaurant within a school compound, supporting the kids here. nice food and kind staff. we had a lovely lunch here. watch out for the signs along the dirt road to find the place when you turn off the paved road.
