I had dinner with hubby at Arun Restaurant last night. We ordered fried rice with shrimp, bok choy and a tofu & cashew nut dish. All dishes were between $3-4 and tasty. Would definitely go again. The only slightly disappointing thing was that cocktails were not available even though it was on the menu.

We hired some electric bikes and the shop suggested this restaurant (among others) to recharge while eating. It wasn't disappointing. I had the fish amok for the first (and last) time and it was really good. I don't have any other comparison though. I do recommend this place especially if you have a bike!

Our hotel, recommended this unassuming little restaurant for its good price, good food. An everyday eatery. Beautiful fried rice dishes, shrimp, papaya salad etc... Kids also had lovely fruit shake smoothies. My wife who is Thai was equally impressed by food. Not outstanding by any means but good honest holiday fare.

We were all tired from getting up early to catch the plane and would eat anything for lunch. We walked around to find a restaurant. It looked alright and had many people eating. but when I tasted the food.... sorry but they were yuck.. All three dishes.. Prawns were small and not fresh. Sausages were too sweet and rubbery. Omelette... More

Restaurant review only (not guesthouse). The food is quite cheap for Siem reap, but it is not good. Not good at all! For example, this is the only time that we have ordered a shrimp dish in Cambodia and not been able to finish it. Omelettes are pretty ordinary too. Service is not real good either, they didn't even offer... More

Serving awesome Cambodian cuisine, Arun is the simplest eatery and it's definitely the place to visit if you are looking for authentic Cambodian food, this fairly nondescript restaurant is just across the river from Raffles Hotel. Not only the food was flavoursome, it was arguably one of the cheapest by far in Siem Reap, including the popular Khmer Kitchen in... More

The shakes are nice and fresh tasting. The price isn't too bad, but not fantastic either. The food, however, is not good. I've been travelling around Cambodia, eaten strange food in many tiny places and dealt with it, but could not finish the food here. It was not fresh, tasted foul, was soggy and was basically inedible. Real shame.

We tried a number of items at this restaurant and over 90% were very good. For example, the “nem cru legume,” raw vegetables in a spring roll with a rice pancake that is soft, and the stuffing is fresh and moderately spiced. Start your meal with "soupe de poisson prahe,” a very tasty soup enhanced with lemon grass. We always... More
