Not worth the money

The restaurant is very nice and the staff are polite. The menu has options and the food was absolutely fine. However, as a tourist, people were highly recommending this place to experience Camba cuisine so we visited. In reality that cuisine is mainly grilled meat and it was nothing special. No special seasoning or discernable curing that I could note in the meat, simply just grilled meat. Therefore I would recommend going to any other Parrilla where you can get almost any of the dishes for half the price and the quality is exactly the same (I've eaten at both). And this is not just my recommendation for gringos, I'd recommend the same to locals and tourists from Latin America also. If you want a dining experience and a nice place to eat and are willing to pay double then definitely this place will not disappoint but if you are simply looking for good food then you can get this in multiple places elsewhere.

It is a must in santa cruz

Be sure to try the picante de gallina or the chorizos chuquisaqueños...both dishes are exquisite and fairly caloric, but hey...yoy are not in Bolivia to lose weight, are you? The casa del camba downtown is fairly centric and pretty much near everything, so i went there instead of the one in Urubó.

I loved La casa de Camba

la casa de Camba is a huge open air, covered restaurant. the waiter are dressed as in the country side and they bring a flag of your nationality to the table. the food is rico!! the service excellent. I had a grilled whole river fish and fried yuca and salad. very delicious. their menu is very large and meat is a specialty. this was my best meal in Bolivia by far as well as the atmosphere. a big winner.

Always loved to enjoy Bolivian food at this traditional restaurant. However, today we had a terrible experience. We order food for 5 people, but the waiter only brought 3 plates after half an hour. When questioned about the remaining dishes he blamed the kitchen and rumbled about so many clients and so little help When we asked to order something else, he said kitchen is closed. Complain to the supervisor and she promised it won’t happen again. We may not go back again.

Unmissable restaurant in Sta Cruz de la Sierra

I was in this House on two different occasions. The first time I attended a typical music and dance show and the last time, which was lunch during the week, without a show. The food is great, with highlights being the duck majao, charque majao, and alligator ceviche.

We ate there a few days ago. The atmosphere and reception were very nice. We got a table without a reservation. Unfortunately, the service and the food were an absolute disaster!! The meat was like a car tire, another rice dish was dry as sand. We have been to many restaurants all over Bolivia and I have to say this was the worst of all! That's why we only gave it 1 star.

Experience of a Cochabamba in the house of the camba

Very well organized and striking infrastructure, characteristic of a camba. Good staff care throughout the attendance on site. The food a little spicy but nice to eat. The atmosphere is very colorful, fun and cheerful, very warm for people who come from other departments.

Delicious traditional food

The food was very good and so was the service, but the price was a little bit expensive. The ambience was also very nice. If you go on your birthday you get free desserts which were very delicious. You can also pay for a photo to be taken and printed with traditional palm hats. We would recommend it if you want to try traditional Santa Cruz food.

Great majao

I was visiting Santa Cruz for a couple of days and several locals recommended this restaurant and told me I should have the majao which is a traditional dish from Santa Cruz. I was not disappointed!The majao was delicious! Great environment and friendly staff as well.

Awesome place for a night out

I've been there twice with my gf. Really nice location, very typical decoration, good music and gentle staff. The food was also very good except some traditional plate I didn't really appreciate it like picante.. The price it's fair considering the place. Definitely raccomanded

Lunch with a couple of colleagues today, as the place comes recommended for original Bolivian food. We had chicharrón de lagarto, empanadas and later a mixed grill. The meat, the chicharrón and the yuca were so overcooked that that we’re virtually not edible, only good thing were the empanadas. Easily one of the worst eating experiences of my life. Avoid going there...
