This is huge with Ann Arbor locals! If you want to mingle with locals to get a flavor of A2-this is one of the places. Many students from Community High School as well as the University of Michigan eat here as well as employees in local businesses.

I'm attracted to the choriso topped with munster and avocado, the fries, and the ginger and lime juice. Shared tables are convivial. Acoustics are a little loud.

My daughter and I went to Frita Batidos last weekend while I was visiting her in Ann Arbor. Her friends highly recommended the place for their great food and drinks and warned it would be crowded. Sure enough, on a Friday night, we had to wait a bit before a space became available on one of the whitewashed picnic tables... More

When I stepped foot in this place, I thought it was going to be overrated. The building itself is ok, the tables were painted picnic tables and it had plastic utensils and cups. The food by far makes up for it! The chorizo burger and lighter plate were both awesome! Definitely the best burger I've had...yes I mean ever! I... More

I ordered the chicken sandwich (not the beef burger) to cut down on the fat. I am SO glad I did. The spices were fabulous. I loved this meal. The restaurant was crowded when we got there, but we got lucky and found a spot for the 5 people in my party. (The seating is self seating at picnic tables,... More

I try to eat here every time I visit my son at UM. It can be very crowded at meal times, but that's because the food is great and its Cuban roots make it different from most burger places. I recommend the chorizo frita with either an egg or avocado -- the topping makes a nice balance with the spiciness... More

Order a frita (sandwich) and a batidos (drink) and extras at the counter and take a seat on one of several shared picnic benches. Our group of 3 had a chorizo burger and two pulled pork sandwiches, a sangria and two fresh lime batidos (each with a shot of added rum), and some plantain chips and salsa as starters. All... More

They have a nice menu with numerous options that are all unique in there own way. The fried plantains are great, especially loaded. Nice to have it with a limeade on the side. Fast service, and family style seating. Looking forward to going there whenever I am in Ann Arbor.

This is a fantastic "casual" restaurant with incredible, fresh, farm to table food. The order line may be long and you'll have to share your table with other customers, but it helps create an atmosphere of community. Also, the quick service typically makes up for the long lines. Their specialities are their Cuban inspired burgers and shakes, but you can't... More

Frita Batidos, Ann Arbors home of Cuban food. Easily the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had and the sweet chile mayo was excellent on the fries. That being said everything was overpriced. Especially the drinks that were served in overgrown shot glasses. Happy hour or not, the pricing on these was insulting. It is very unlikely we will return.... More
