I really enjoy this restaurant, not just for the ambiance and history, but for the food. I have eaten here for business meetings on several occasions, and always found the food to be delicious, high quality and consistent.

They have great burgers, an excellent Michigan salad, and delicious soup in a bread bowl. If it is winter, it is cozy to sit by the fireplace. In the summer, we enjoy the outdoor patio. I would recommend John Lau for a fun night out.
