We had an extremely disappointing lunch here. Everyone else in the restaurant, bar one other couple, ordered the set menu, which was a very heavy looking baked dish we didn't fancy on hot day. We ordered the falafel and roast tofu from the menu, this was a mistake. It took about 50 minutes to arrive, meanwhile other groups had full... More

Our first dinner in Sucre was here and it was very nice. They advertise as vegetarian however also do some meat dishes. My boyfriend had the chicken curry and I had one of the tofu & rice dishes. Both were a bit too salty but still very tasty and well priced. The staff were also very friendly. Apparently they do... More

Atmosphere is a bit dark and boring but the dinner was really good. Vegetarian Falafel as well as meat was good prepared and fresh. Not the hippest place but good alternative for good food for fair a price.

This place gets a mention in Lonely Planet. Maybe it deserved it a few years ago, not now. About 7:30 in the evening we were the only people in the place. Even then service was slow. As it filled up things got slower. I had a chicken "curry". The only curry spice I could detect was cumin seed, burnt. Still... More

Healthy, local and veggie food included in the lunch menu. Service was fast for Bolivian standards. Prices are very honest, we paid 24 pesos for an entire lunch menu. The place is attended also by locals. Definitely the restaurant to go to in Sucre, especially if you are sicknof meat!

Loved this little restaurant / cafe. It's slightly out of the way but only a few minutes walk from the centre really and worth the effort! The food was really tasty. There's a big selection of vegetarian options, including curries and falafel, and also some meat dishes. The goulasch was amazing! Delicious lemonade too.

I have eaten so many times here and every time the food they serve is amazing. The almuerzo is a bit expensive (for Sucre), but its very worth it. Delicious soup, always two vegetarian segundos for election, a juice and dessert. I can't say anything about the food a la carta but the lunch is an excellent value. In comments... More

El Germen is a decent restaurant. The food is healthy and the service slow. But, if I'm going to sacrifice and not eat meat . . . I will be heading over to Condor Cafe, Sucre's other Vegetarian option. Even for a meat lover like me, the smells that waft into the street from Condor Cafe call to me! But... More

It is always hard to get good vegetarian food around south america but they really put an effort in their meals. The staff might be a little slow but the lunch menues are a delicous and super cheap splurge even for non-vegetarians!
