Food is secondary to the great views of the fountains. To get a seat next to the fountains you need to book a few days before hand so a little planning needed. Food is very good and the service is good but this place is packed one in one out so not the usual Dubai service but recommend

Went here for an Arabic dinner recommended by hotel concierge. The Location in the replica soukh next to the water fountain provides a nice setting, but only if seated on the terrace. Inside seating and decoration is very basic. We chose the set menu, which was quite tasty and there was plenty of it. The service was extremely poor, and... More

Visited this place with a Lebanese colleague, so had a true jury with me. We were a big group, but despite this the service went smooth. Just make sure you have a good appetite, as the portions are voluminous. Beware when you order, dose your disches :-)

We had dinner in this resturent. Service is good. Big arabic menu. Food is tasty. Nice arabic entertainment. The singer was superb and the music player too. To enjoy it better try to go in Thursdays and Fridays.

Visited this restaurant on Pier 7 last week after getting the recommendation from a Lebanese friend! What a disappointment it was. Rude staff, bad service, very average food and expensive. Other than the view, this restaurant has nothing to offer. I urge people not to visit this restaurant. There are so many excellent restaurants in Dubai this is not one... More

The inside of the restaurant is nothing special, the food was quite nice. The reason to visit is the view of the fountain show. Book WAY in advance for a good table. Quite expensive, but you pay for the location. Mixed Mezza is approx 250 a head (with soft drinks). Beer and wine available.

I have been here twice in the past 4 months and both times with groups of around 6-8 people. We have not been disappointed. This is a great place to order separate meals or order family style. Each visit we had so many people experiencing Dubai for the first time, that we ordered family style so people could get a... More

On the advice I'd read here, I called about a week ahead of time and asked for a table next to the fountain. They told me those were booked but that I could have the next row back. Upon arriving the hostess tried her best to seat us behind a large post that would have blocked the entire view of... More

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
