There were rumours that the Mekong Fish Cafe had closed, so I was happy to see its brand new sign in the distance as I walked along the river. It was the first restaurant I went to on my first trip to Luangprabang. And one I return to every time I visit the town. Service is friendly and professional, much... More

Sitting with the river view was great especially after a long day of walking. We thought it would be great to just have dinner here too. The beef burger was just terrible, worst ever eaten. It's definitely not freshly prepared. Beef green curry - it's really a soup and definitely not gravy! The beef slices are not tasting fresh either.... More

This is a quixotic place. It does not have conventional tables and chairs but rather low coffee tables and rattan armchairs. It's more like a café or a club than a restaurant. The actual physical menu is dreadful. It comes is a dogeared folder containing scuffed and creased plastic pockets. The descriptions are the most basic, the art work is... More

We were so happy to have come across this restaurant... They have a deck overlooking the Mekong with breathtaking views especially at sunset. The green chicken curry was superb and the prices are reasonable.

We went to this place twice while on holiday because of it's large deck overlooking the Mekong. It was a budget type restaurant/cafe and had a big menu with lots of different types of food which suited those days when we'd already had a big meal elsewhere and weren't sure what we wanted. We had the charcuterie plate twice but... More

I sat on the seats looking over the Mekong River - it would have been even more enjoyable with delicious food. The chicken fried rice tasted weird and they didn't have banana bread (after listing it in the menu) so I got a bowl of fruit instead. I would go there if I were only purchasing a drink to look... Ate fried and fresh spring rolls fried pork with basil and egg with mushroom and salad all washed down with two G&T's. Came to $25 AUD for two so good value for nice tasty food. Service was quick and friendly. Seating is on three tiers going down to the river.
