Having read the reviews we (a family of five, the youngest 16) went in search of the bamboo bridge across the river in order to take us to the restaurant for dinner. When we arrived we were met by people at the top of the stairs down to the river, who told us that the bridge had been (temporarily) washed... More

Great experience to cross by boat (when there is no bamboo bridge), fare there and back is refunded by restaurant. Have the Laos Fondue - no cheese, but you cook everything in a soup over heat, while BBQ the meat. Recommended for lunch and dinner.

If staying in Luang Prabang this is the place to go for a fun evening. The bamboo bridge is just the start and after a short walk you must have the Laos barbecue- take care to book a specific table as not all have the ability for the hot coals. A great experience and very easy to cook in a... More

This restaurant is just across the bamboo bridge and does a fantastic traditional Laos BBQ - Sin Dad. It is well with the trip across the bridge to visit this restaurant.

Agree with the 3 previous reviews. It is just across the bamboo bridge, an adventurous start to the evening. We had the Laos fondue and could not stop eating it was so delicious. Lovely setting, good service and friendly staff.

We were strolling the riverbank in Luang Prabang when we found nicely stairs leading down to the river with a small sign advertising the restaurant - contrary most other restaurants in LP that basically shout in your face to eat here. We followed the stairs and were met by a teen in a boat to cross the river. the river... More

A super romantic setting in several levels amongst the bamboo groups. Most tables have a Japanese-style seating, where you sit on pillows on the floor. The view is super to the river below and the bamboo bridge across. Most people choose their speciality: the Lao barbeque. Whatever you have, the taste is delicate and you will want to come back... It's well worth crossing the bamboo bridge to this restaurant in a lovely garden setting with a private laid-back feeling. They do an excellent Lao barbecue, curries, pad thai, and a steamed chocolate pudding "delight". Lots of fans ensure no insects hang around. Some tables have a view of the river, but if you're far from the bar there is... More

This is a fun place for dinner with terraced seating and a mix of table and cushion seating overlooking the river across the bamboo bridge. The menu isn't huge but there are good things on it including fondu (steamboat?) And there's a happy hour.

Booked an evening table overlooking the river for an anniversary (of sorts) with my wife. This restaurant is fantastic. Amazing setting, friendly and discreet staff with great food. Cocktails were also spot on. We crossed the bamboo bridge lit with lanterns too and it kind of made the evening even more special. Go there and see what I mean. Recommend.... More
