We spent a few days in Luang Prabang, and visited Saffron each day for a meal, it was just that good. From the delicious variety of food, well priced dishes, AMAZING coffee with beautiful foam designs, to the attentive staff, lovely owner, and lastly, the vibe, we loved every second at Saffron and would highly recommend popped in for a... I didn't eat here this time, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy some coffee (freshly ground while I waited) to use for brewing coffee in my room. Saffron's the best.

If after travelling for sometime and you just want a sandwich for lunch this is the place to go. Well set up with an airconditioned area upstairs we enjoyed our lunch and an excellent coffee made from organic beans grown by local farmers. Saffron is a social business working with the farmers teaching them how to improve their crops. This... More

Hi elias501, Sensational! Very pleased to hear you enjoyed the food, the air-conditioning upstairs, the crop to cup story, our awesome farmers and staff, and then of course, the coffee itself. We're currently working in 20 villages with over 800 farming families and have significant scope to expand even further in the next couple of years. Thanks very much for... More

I went here based on its reviews and it did not disappoint. I was impressed with the coffee options available and I really enjoyed my coffee, I had an Americano, one of the best I have had in a long while. You can also buy their beans, I bought two.

My boyfriend and I have been traveling in south east Asia for 2 months and this is by far the best coffee we have had! Visited 6 days in a row whilst in Luang Prabang. They also source their beans from local farmers and take pride in all aspects of coffee making

Hi lozmarwood, We reckon this would be close to the record number of days straight...I've heard of a few 4 and 5 day repeats, but not 6! Nice effort. Thanks for rating our coffee! We currently have 796 individual farming families from whom we purchase coffee cherries directly. We process the coffee through to roasted bean for hotels, restaurants and... More

This is a really good place to have coffee. I love the ambiance and the service. It can get very busy though so maybe pick a time that isn't lunch or dinner time.

I had a good Americano here. It was reasonably priced compared to other coffee shops in the city (i.e. Cafe de Laos), and the upstairs area has air-conditioning. I'm not sure whether the a/c was on when I was there, but there were a lot of fans and it was much cooler than being outside or on a terrace in... More

We love coffee. This cafe already has a good reputation, I came here to say it didn't disappoint. The banana bread with espresso butter was also on point. Went here almost daily for a cup of the good stuff.

Pop in here for a western style coffee; latte, espresso etc. A nice blend and they do latte art and serve takeaway cups. Free wi fi and they also sell food. They make other products with the coffee like bars of soap for detox.
