First of all, we were fortunate to be served by Marko, an architectural student working as a waiter. He was kind, attentive, quick, efficient and personable. Marko was our best waiter in all of Croatia! Be sure to seek him out. Second, the food was very good: high quality ingredients (especially seafood and charcuterie), well cooked and presented as well... More

Good selection of specialities from Croatia, delicious and good service! The food is very good value for money, and a wide selection of Croatian specialities are available.

We went to this placed attracted by the good reviews on Trip Advisor. As expected, excellent food, value and service. The food was excellent and the portions huge. Also to mention that the bread was very tasty. The place is also beautiful and located just inside of Diocletian's palace.

This restaurant was fabulous, from its service to the meal itself I was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant is located in the back streets of the palace and gives a local and historic atmosphere. Our hotel was located close by so I was able to talk to the staff and they were happy to give us information and recommendations. My family... More

Simply that. The restaurant was barely open. We were waiting to start a tour at the office next door so decided to have a coffee and cheesecake before. The cheesecake was incredible. Texture was perfect, the base too. It was sublime, citrus, but sweet not tart, but not too sweet - subtle. Awesome... still talk about it a year later.... More

We were on our way to another restaurant, glanced down a side street and intuition led us to this quaint little gem. Exceptional service; the head waiter shared stories accompanied by wonderful humour. We were given complimentary Croatian shnapps and complimentary strudel for desert. The best food so far! We finally got to see what all the fuss is about... More

We tried to have dinner twice in a week. Both times very good experience with both food, wine and service. The restaurant is located very central inside the old town, but it is a little hard to find. Maybe thats why the restaurant is not so crowded. You can sit outsite in a quite square and enjoy the local life... More

We tried steak tartar, prawns and cheese appetiser, shrimps stew, pasta and steak on separate visits. Pasta was great, steak was bad and the rest were average in my opinion. The wait for food was also quite long (around 45min). Service was good and the prices were reasonable.

I may have just chosen the wrong dish as most reviews are positive about the food but my stuffed squid was not the best. The presentation was great but it was very tough and quite bland. The restaurant has a lovely setting and very helpful and friendly staff.

Stumbled upon this little gem quite by chance. Staff greeted us and gave us plenty of information on their very traditional Dalmatian menu. Passionate about their resturant and their local wines and food. Very good value. On our last night would have liked to return but sadly, failed to navigate the alleyways! Definitely recommend, they know their stuff.

Thank Whitesy
