The food here is excellent. Its not flashy fine dining style but homey and delicious. Its not super expensive either. But the food here is only half the game. When we arrived the restaurant was full so we had a beer in the laneway outside. Struck up with some other travelers and had a lot of fun with the waiter... More

Sit nest to others at bar tables, watch the food being cooked in front of you, take a peek into the pan (who needs a menu?), enjoy fresh, traditional food with friendly, light-hearted service. Baked sea bass, grilled calamari, local chilled white and all exuding honesty of ingredients and cooking. No reservations, it gets really busy so either go early... More

Excellent food. We had the pork chops and the steak and both were absolutely delicious. The young cheese starter and the pumpkin soup were also amazing. The house wine was very enjoyable and the place had a lovely homely atmosphere. We loved the place so much we had to go back. Highly recommended and much better food and value than... More

Went there on my own after reading the reviews. It wasn't a busy time of the year and on arrival was completely ignored. I then stopped one of the waiters and asked for a table and was shown a space by the bar, ignored again and eventually got the menu, boring food had the fish which was ok served with... More

This is one of the best restaurants. Why? I did ate double portion of pasta with zucchini and shrimps here. And I never did that in public before :). Seriously the food is perfect and so tasty than you need to eat it twice. Do not think portions are small, they are enough but once again, I could not resist... More

Such a cute restaurant space. We were lucky to be in Split off-season, so there was no wait. I can imagine with such a small space that the wait could get long during the warmer months... They serve local fish and vegetables from the markets nearby, so the selection is always changing and fresh. I recommend the cheese appetizer, eggplants... More

Dining at Villa Spiza is worth the wait! We beat the evening rush (arrived for an early dinner just before 7pm- which is really the ideal time to get there, anyone who arrived after 7:30 was essentially told the wait was too long at that point and should come back the next night) and were greeted warmly and offered drinks... Long long queue when we arrived as the restaurant is so small, think we waited around an hour outside on a bench, but this actually excites me more about a restaurant as I expect amazing things! Lot's of the menu was already gone as we sat down to eat due to popularity so we couldn't order our first choice. But... More
