We tried the sea bass and the veal chops, both very tasty, and 3 glasses of the house wine! The price was ok (about 40€ for 2px) but you need to pay in cash. The waitresses are nice!

Third time here and a little bit underwhelmed. Fish good, service good, pasta mozzarella absolutely terrible. Whoever cooked it never tried it. Only consolation, we were charged for half of it. My tip- go early when full menu still available.

We came here because we wanted to eat Croatian Food and liked the idea that it was bought the same day on the market (that's what they say) . The Restaurant bought an additional room right across the street about two years ago, which we...chose to sit down. The atmosphere was relaxed and (obviously) international. Besides German, French and American guests there was a local lady that ordered the same meal as I did. As this place is in the Lonely Planet and on TripAdvisor the prices increased and are about Split Old Town average. But the food was great and also for the bigger hunger. We can recommend it.More

Decided to have dinner after reading some reviews of this restaurant. It is very small with an additional larger space across the alley. I opted for a seat at the bar overlooking the kitchen. The first thing I noticed was the staff. Everyone in the...kitchen and counter area were singing and having a good time, like they were all happy to be there!! This speaks volumes about an establishment. The menu was hand written and 2 of the items crossed out, which prompted my asking. I was informed that everything was fresh for the day depending on market selection and once they run out you're outta luck! I started with the buratta, which was creamy and delicious. I also ordered the sea bass that was available that day. It was pan fried too perfection and served with a delicious potato salad and some zucchini. Servicer was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere of this little restaurant was the best I've experienced in Croatia. Thanks to the team at Villa Spiza for such a memorable evening.More

Amazing restaurant. We loved it so much on our first night of our Croatia trip that my wife and I came back, weeks later, on the last night of our honeymoon for our final meal. It's a fairly no-frills place but the vibe is just...so wonderful - Motown tunes blaring, Dalmatian cuisine fryin', Old Town vibes flowin'. We absolutely loved this place. Great prices, food was wonderful ... all good stuff here.More

An unpretentious small place with a cozy vibe. Pasta with pork and truffles was super delicious. House red wine was nice too. To top it all up, service was great - very friendly people there! Would gladly return.

This was our third visit to Villa Spiza and I don't think it's going to be our last. The whole ambience is very relaxed and it feels like you're eating with family. Most of the staff are very friendly. The food was very tasty and...fresh. See you next year:-)More

We went here because we couldn’t get a seat anywhere else and we wanted somewhere that served local and traditional food. Thank god we found this place! The atmosphere is lively but in good taste, and the waitresses were hilarious with a great sense of...humour. The food was excellent, simple dishes cooked fantastically, and great wine - all for a really good price. If you are in Split be sure to pay them a visit! We will be sending a postcard for them to add to their collection :)More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and definitely didn't disappoint. The menu is Croatian cuisine and very tasty! There will be a short wait as the restaurant is popular (no reservations taken) but drink orders are taken and served during this time....Definitely recommend the zucchini and prawn pasta as well as the sting ray!More
