Visited here at lunchtime mid week. Very warm welcome from the staff and as usual, no English menu so I left it to my friend to order. We started with the green borsch which was delicious & wholesome, flavored with dill. We then had fat served three ways, I was intrigued to see what this actually was. Indeed it was... More

I have been taken to this restaurant many times as a business guest and every time I am positively surprised by their excellent food (have tried almost everything by now!) including local drinks and home-made vodka! The grilled meat is delicious (they have a charcoal fire) as well as all local foods. A visit must for any traveller to Odessa!... More

Great location, good service. The interior is typical "tourist" Ukrainian, along with the staff uniforms. Personally I didn't much like the borscht in comparison with most I've had in Ukraine, but my dining partner enjoyed all the food very much and so 4 stars seems appropriate.

One of three restaurants, visited in Odessa. Interior so traditional and realistic. Ukrainian traditional food was perfect. BORSCH - Ukrainian soup... miss it in Zagreb.

Local cuisine, rustic buildings. Food is just great! Nothing more to be added. You must try their juicy lamb with vegetables (180 hryvnia). I've ever eaten such a good lamb! But as good as the food is the prices are extremely high. For a dinner for two (starters, soups and mains) we paid almost 700 UAH which is approx. $85.

This is a sprawling restaurant on multiple levels. The upper level is quiet, air conditioned and great for lovers. The lower patio level is noisy, full of life and has a small park next to it with peacocks, rabbits and distractions for the kids. The menu is Ukrainian large - many pages. The Ukrainian favourites are the best bets. Borscht... More

Our group ate here on our first night in Odessa and it was a wonderful introduction. The location overlooks the Black Sea and from the bottom of the street presents a beautiful picture as it sits on a rise which is reached by matching stone staircases on either side covered with vines and roses. The salads were fresh and in... More

I visit Odessa every couple of years & always pop into Kumanetz . The food is good & the prices are very reasonable for Odessa, waiters are always polite & believe me, it's not a common thing in Ukraine, so can honestly say, you will have a nice time & full tummy of yammy Ukrainian food for a very good... This restaurant is well located, with a very pleasant and attractive outdoor space. The problem may well be that is part of a very large indoor venue, which was extremely busy on the lunchtime we visited. While our pleasant waitress was polite and helpful, she was simply run off her feet throughout the time we were there. Our food (just... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at, we were made feel very welcome and at home on arrival and given good advice about the food and wine. Everything looked so appealing and had such a delicious flavour. Compliments to the chef!
