We stopped in here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the view. Next trip I plan on coming back to try dinner. The steaks with mushroom sauce looked really dee-lish!

This restaurant is very close to the Parque Central. It has different levels and we sat in the open air patio at the top, looking over the gorgeous church ruins and listening to the live music from the Parque. I compared it in my mind to being in la bella Italia:-) Lunch for 2 was grilled panini sandwiches (one tuna,... More

Everyone has a bad night, so we will return to give tartines another visit. This past weekend the restaurant was very busy. Maybe that explains our experience. The view from the terrace overlooking the ruins is spectacular. The service was slow. Very slow! The salads are fresh but the dressing tasted peculiar. The steaks were over-done from our order as... I always enjoy eating here. The food is always fresh and great quality. The sauces are always good and made at that time. I really enjoy eating the steaks, they have great taste and sauces to accompany them. The French fries are also good. They accommodate the dish to the customers needs and requirements. I was recovering from hepatitis another... More

I have traveled to Europe and other parts of the world were you can have a great meal at different prices. Tartines chef has outdone himself with this restaurant. Not only it has the most beautiful terrace (specially at night), but the food is amazing. I specially love the gnocchi. In Antigua its a must.

This restaurant has been the kitchen of Tartine, a French chef for many years. He was in Antigua first, then moved to Guatemala City, sold the restaurant for a few years retirement; and now is back in good form. The restaurant is famous for its steak, so this is what I ordered. A friend was buying, and she recommended this... More

I ordered a salad. No sure what other ingredient was there for the sauce, but it tasted like pure lime juice. Therefore my salad is just totally dominated by just sour taste.

We enjoyed our visit to Tartines but were let down by the service. My husband had a steak and it was over cooked for what he ordered. He brought it to the attention of the waiter not because he was complaining or because he was sending it back. Just for their information. But, the waiter could care less nor took... More

This small restaurant, run by a well-known French chef in the area, is artfully decorated and attracts a high end clientele. We arrived for lunch at 2pm and got the last available table, downstairs. The Broccoli Mousse appetizer was a good size portion, and memorable - light and fresh, covered with mushrooms and a mushroom sauce. We shared 2 vegetable... More

The food is right off la rive gauche in Paris, but you are enjoying it overlooking the ruins of antigua's cathedral. Globalization has its advantages. Merci.
