Oh my... we had an awesome time. The food is great, the staff is friendly, the environment makes you feel somewhere else than Panama. Be ready to spend $80.00 aprox. for a full course meal, which will be definitely worth it!

Big mistake. This place was touted as historically interesting (true), gourmet food (pretty good) and a live jazz venue on Fridays (as an inveterate jazz fan, I couldn't wait). My party of 4 had reservations for Friday night. We asked what time we should have dinner so as not to disturb the music.... We booked for 8:15, got seated originally... More

We read positive reviews on TripAdvisor so we went. The grilled corvina (always fresh and delicious in other restaurants in the 3 weeks of our Panama visit) was definitely frozen. Poor. The pasta with seafood was average at best. The Greek Salad was fresh and great. The octopus wth garlic was tough as nails. This place is a tourist trap.... More

Attended Las Bovedas as part of a group business dinner. The restaurant was polite and well trained. The food was great. I had sea bass, with mashed potatoes and asparagus all delicious. Chose the “tree tomato” mouse dessert and it was a rare treat. It was a light and delicious orange, and almost passion fruit like delectable mix. We dinned... More

While walking around the area during the day, I was intrigued by Las Bovedas - and it was recommended by a local as having good French food. When I returned at night, I noticed quite a set up of tables outside - which were being held for a large group that had not yet arrived. I was ushered into a... More

It was our anniversary on Feb. 29th so what better place to celebrate Lucky #7 than in a former dungeon! We enjoyed a wonderful meal, a terrific bottle of wine, and excellent service in the wonderful atmosphere of Las Bovedas. We asked to be moved to a quieter room as the noise level is amplified by the high ceilings and... More

This restaurant is at the far point of the old city in Panama. We made a reservation although the restaurant was pretty slow on this night. The service was great - they have a high level menu in English but I would have appreciated a detailed menu in English. Our server was great although he only spoke a little English... More

This restaurant sits in the oldest part of Panama City. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were very nice and extremely attentive. We had a lot of questions about the menu and although their English was not great they were helpful in answering all of them. The food was absolutely delicious. Notable was the garlic octopus appetizer... More

We have eaten here several times over the last few visits and we truly enjoy the experience every single time. It is a fun place to eat simply in the fact that the building is so old and has true history. We appreciate the courtesy of all of the staff, especially the chef (his name escapes me). Couple all of... More

Great food and great service. The restaurant was a bit slow on the evening we went, but the food was worth it.
