This was some of the best ceviche I have had...and as others mentioned the grilled octopus was also fantastic. Get some leche de tigre on the side. The only knock against La Mar is the atmosphere, which is fine but not luxurious in any way.

I'm peruvian, so I'm kind of biased when it comes around peruvian food. I've eaten in La Mar Lima and La Mar Bogotá, and I wish the experience of eating at La Mar Panamá was like the others. The service was impeccable, the waiters were...More
I just arrived from La Mar Panama and there weren't ceviche and Pisco sour available!!! How does it be possible in a Peru's restaurant ! They just told us when we had took seats. If you want to try something in particular asks before !

I went to dinner twice during last month. The first time we were 5 persons, and the second time just my friend and myself. The food was delicious and very well presented. Although the second time, the service was a bit disorganised, but not unfriendly:...More
The wait staff at LA Mar were great, wish I could say the same about the food. My husband and I shared several orders of ceviche, all of which had a strange fishy taste to the them. I'm an avid sushi and ceviche eater and...More
The ceviches are the best ever tried, also the main plates (both of us had seafoods) and the desert was completely different from what we had before (chocolate crepe with fruit of passion mousse and coconut icecream). The decoration is beautiful, the service is good...More
I have not enjoyed Peruvian style ceviche in years, and I was anxious to visit La Mar for dinner after reading the TA reviews. Our meal started slow. While we were seated quickly, and the initial waitperson quickly responded to my request for English menus,...More
I like this restaurant. And I enjoyed my meal. But that doesn't mean the menu is great. In fact, I ordered the only items on the menu that appealed. Thankfully, they tasted wonderful, were fresh, and were delivered in minutes (even though the restaurant was...More
