We live six months of the year in Casco Viejo and have eaten at most of the restaurants in our neighborhood . Mostaza is our favorite. The service is exemplary, the ambiance cozy and romantic at the same time and the food is fantastic. We always get the portobello mushroom in garlic sauce as an appetizer. The beef and seafood... One of the traditional restaurants in Casco Viejo, the Old City , with live music on the weekends, great food, different types of fishes, and a variety of vegetables in deifferent styles, international dishes, and a nice terrace in front of the place to seat when the weather is not rainy.

Walking by this restaurant several times, it looked like a quiet peaceful place to have a nice meal. And, in the evenings, Mostaza sets up tables outside - across the street in front of the Convento de Santo Domingo. Indeed, the restaurant is elegant inside - and I enjoyed my gin martini, and the ceviche appetizer very much. My friend... More

We stumbled on Mostaza on a late Monday evening in the old city after finding two or three other places closed. Set across from a beautiful old church with outdoor seating (which we learned belonged to Mostaza), the small gem of a restaurant was a welcome find. The service was warm and friendly and we had a great meal -... More

Skip the Americanized restaurants and head to this intimate, charming restaurant with a mouth-watering and reasonably priced menu full of succulent meats, seafood and even pasta dishes. A popular favorite with locals (always a good sign) and gracious service. We were lucky enough to be there on a night featuring live entertainment with a beautiful vocalist which was a welcome... Had a delicious meal at this small restaurant this week. Prawns in a cream sauce; excellent roasted mushrooms, tuna carpacio. A really good meal. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and correctly. Its more of a small family style restaurant but one worth visiting in Panama City.

This small restaurant in Casco Viejo is very good. Argentinian style cuts of beef, lobster, cebiche are some of their offerings. Good quality food and very friendly service.

We ate here but unfortunately I was not feeling very hungry. My husband ordered pumpkin soup to start and after i tasted his i ordered a bowl for myself - absolutely delicious!!!! Lovely place but very easy to miss. Live music there the night we visited and though a nice idea - it was way too loud!!!

Classy interior, plenty of menu options and good service. For a good dinner in a nice and relaxed atmosphere, you just cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Highly recommendable.

While it's a very nice restaurant inside, we chose to sit at the tables outside across the street from the restaurant. We were surrounded by the lovely old walls and there was a gentle breeze from the ocean even though it was a couple of blocks away. The food and service were very good, however, the ambience was what made... More
