Visited Kyiv recently and my friend brought me here for dinner. Have to say the food was very delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, the restaurant was beautifully decorated, and there was even Ukrainian songs being sung. Was a fabulous experience that I will never forget. I will definitely return to this restaurant on my next trip to Kyiv.

During our recent trip to Kiev, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Tsarske Selo. Walking in the door, was akin to entering a very nice and comfy inn of olden days. Completely fun! The completely authentic menu was a taste of old Ukraine. Together we shared two hot appetizers: deruny and hachapury, two delicious traditional offerings. For... More

We were there with local friends who basically selected the food for us. All very typical plates such as Ukrainian borscht, pork shashlyk, golubtsy, pork shank and prior to that a lot of small appetizer plates. A lot of food, and all was very good. The location is to mimic a typical Ukrainian country house inside, with servers on accompanying... More

The restaurant offers absolutely genuine Ukrainian cuisine served in a traditional Ukrainian rustic environment. It's not affordable for 95 percent of Ukrainians, but offers a unique opportunity for a foreigner to try the real Ukrainian borsch, vereniki and much much more. On top of that from 7pm on a folk song group performs touching Ukrainian songs. I heard the rumors... More

Funny interior design looking like an old Ukrainian house. Excellent food and decent service in English. Reasonable price.

The resto looks like an old Ukrainian house, and the dishes are also mainly Ukrainian. If you want to give your foreign friends some picture of the traditional cuisine, it could be a good choice. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice.

I went here as it was near the Kyic-Pechersk National Historico-Cultural Preserve. It looked closed from the outside, but persevere and open the door and you are in a warm atmospheric environment. I was here for lunch on a Saturday so didn't experience any live music. However, I enjoyed some interesting dishes and good service so can recommend this restaurant.... More
