Firstly, if it was possible to rate higher than a 5 I would. We came here on a whim and it was spectacular. Complementary homemade horseradish vodka plus gerkin and lard on rye to start. Entree was 2 servings of dumplings with accompanying condiments proved tasty and a great start. Several large local beers and more of their homemade vodka... More

Really good food. Affordable, not extremely expensive food. Friendly staff. Totally recommend it for real Ukrainian dishes. Not a touristy pick - even locals recommend it.

I should have ate all my meals here. There are so many things to enjoy in Kyiv, and if you are a Canadian citizen our exchange rate is one of them. Pervak offers a five-star experience in an eclectic setting and for any budget minded traveler this is one opportunity you should not be frugal over. I ate for less... More

This is an authentic Ukrainian restaurant with old style interiors and the staff were dressed in typical peasant style costumes. The menu is also based on traditional Ukrainian and eastern European food. The service was good but our waitress struggled a lot with English, although I heard a waiter at another table who spoke quite fluently. We enjoyed our hearty... More

An amazing place with 1920s theme and music to match. Food was very good (although my lamb fillet was slightly over cooked) and service brilliant with good explanations of the food which helped a lot. Wine again very reasonably priced and the Georgian sparkling wine was particularly good.

Live music, nice atmosphere, free national Ukrainian shots and snacks and best borsch I have ever eaten in Kiev. The pear dessert was very special and tasty. Prices were ok. I recommend it to all!

This is pure, traditional Ukrainian fare served in a set in a 1200's setting ready for a hobbit. Food as great, menu was large, and the atmosphere was intriguing. This is a must go stop on a visit to Kiev. Did not feel touristy.

We had a very delicious and cheap lunch in this restaurant while we were in Kiev. It was recommended to us by our tour guide. The food was traditional Ukrainian with a touch of fusion

Pervak offers a wide range of traditional Ukrainian drinks and food which you can enjoy in either the big hall, or one of the small rooms decorated in Ukrainian style. Take a trip back in time to early 20th century Kyiv in one of restaurants in Kiev with great folk decor. It is quirky and fun, full of interesting ornaments, pictures and curiosities. And if you need any further distraction then the attractive waitresses dressed in frilly low cut folk costumes may well get you reaching for that extra shot of vodka.
