This is a perfect place for heavenly dessert :-). The cakes are really delicious, the waiters are kind. Although located in the city center, it is still away from the crowd and you can enjoy your cake and recharge your batteries for the rest of the day in peace

We had the hazelnut icecream and amelie torta cake. The ice cream was delightful with bits of hazelnut and honeycomb. The cake had a nutty almond flavour with vanilla custard and tangy flavour from the berry cream frosting .

To eat or not to eat, that is the question. My wife and I love food, but are also mindful of piling on calories. So calories must always be worth the while, especially when it comes to high calorie desserts. At Amelie, I'll say it is all well worth it. The dark chocolate ice cream is so thick and lusciously... Nice and friendly personnel, excellent location and even better cakes. Prices are usual for that type of coffee shop, with cakes going from 16 to 20 kuna (2, 2.5€) and coffee from 10 to 15. It is nicely decorated, but there is not so much room, maybe 6-7 tables inside and terrace. We were four at the table and barely... More

Try the Amelie torta. It is fruity and creamy and fresh, not too sweet. The cafe situated near the cathedral is very cosy. Don t miss it, if you visit Zagreb. And the one more thing: the macarons are delicious, better than those in Paris! Try them. The prices are moderate. Have a good time!!

Avoid if you are alone, or, God forbid, with the dog. I waited for 30 minutes on the terrace and the waiter, actually, two of them, kept ignoring me, even after I asked them to take my order. The guests at the ,table next to me were embarrassed, since the older waiter said he had no time to take my... More

They have nice cakes, although not all from the menu are available. I really liked apple pie with hazelnuts. Bad thing is that they do not accept cards, and they did not know to tell me where I can exchange money or pick up some cash and I had to walk around on super cold day. Before you go just... More

Well worth the stop even if it's just for take away because there isn't a lot of tables in the tiny cakery but you should grab something. Prices are seasonable from 12-20kn per slice

We discovered Amelie near Zagreb Cathedral. It was a marvelous find. After wandering the streets of Zagreb, we treated ourselves with a gelato from Amelie. We had black currant and ginger as well as Amelie flavour (vanilla, almond and forest berries). Yum. Cost: 18 Croatian Kuna/$AUS3.50. Yes, another EU country that insists on its own currency. Another pile of currency... More
