If you are fan of lamb meat, dont hesitate to visit Trnjanka. It looks old and unattractive from the outside, but be prepared for the fest of classic croatian meal!! We had lamb meat with potatoes and some fresh salad - it cant be better than that! Also, the bread is homemade and delicious! If you ever visit Zagreb and... More

One day before the visit called them to book a table for 4 people and asked if it would be hot lamb next day at 7pm. They told OF COURSE. So i ordered minimum 1kg of lamb. It was big croatian holiday and i wanted to show the croatian specialities for my foreign friends. So.... It was my big shame... More

The ambient was nice and the service was fast and helpfull, the restaurant serbes typical barbecue food, where roasted lamb is supposed to be their specialty. The only reason for visiting this restaurant is to eat the lamb on a stick. Usually, the lamb is from island Pag or from Lika county and it is the best you will find in the city. Forget everything else that is on the menu and have a lamb! The service is very friendly and efficient.

We visit Zagreb at least once a year, and our friends there love to take us to Trnjanka. Call ahead to make sure they have the roast lamb with accompanying roast potatoes, fresh been onions and tomatoes. The lamb is outstanding, usually from Lika or Pag. Parking is difficult, in a small neighborhood just south of the center. But the... More

lamb on stick is best way of cooking lamb. If it is lamb from Lika or from island Pag, then it is real gourmet experience. If you are in Zagreb plan to have one meal here and try lamb on stick.

My best friend loves this place, so he took a group of us for lamb after business negotiations. Sizeable terrace, lots of space inside, too – ideal for discussions without a worry about being overherad by the guest seated at the next table. Not in the very centre of Zagreb, parking lot (payable) for five cars amidst a jungle of... More
