When all's said and done, it was a pleasant experience. I really loved the kindness of the staff and their wine knowledge, but I really think that, despite of the lovely atmosphere, the local needs a renovation. I was not totally satisfied of the dinner. Pay attention, everything was good, but I expected something else about the taste, especially because... More

Terraced outside seating, great service, wonderful food, beautiful inside seating area. Great recommendations for local foods and wine were given by our waiter. Wonderful evening.

We stumbled upon this restaurant the first night during our week's visit to Zagreb, and we enjoyed the experience so much that we returned twice more for dinner over the next five days. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional.

My partner and I happened upon Agava late on a Thursday night after finding that many of the restaurants were already closing down for the evening. We climbed the steps and hoped for the best. When we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted warmly, told that they were still serving and shown to the most perfect table in the... More

We received a wonderful welcome after the table was booked. As we were two couples we were appropriately placed at a lovely terrace spot with a great view below on the tkalciceva street. We ordered fish mostly around the table. The food was ok just slightly overdone but more importantly a little on the pricey side for what it was.... More

This is an upscale restaurant with good location in old town with a nice view and nice atmosphere. Food was very good, each dish properly explained by a waiter. For the startes we took merlin carpaccio and foie gras. Marlin carpaccio was served with capers, orange & lemon pesto. Foie gras de canard was served with pear cream. For main... More

I've eaten at Agava twice. This last time it had improved on an already good menu and service. The food is delicious, service impressive (courteous and not suffocating) and the location, nestled in among the old buildings overlooking bustling Tkalciceva is great. Agava has modernised its decor but resisted the temptation to loose it's charm by going a global standard... More

"Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere.

This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond.

So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.
