One of the local reputable gourmet magazines have ranked "Agava" among top 15 restaurants of Zagreb. Although we have frequently passed by it, we never had a serious look at it, primarily due to its location amidst the most touristic area of the city. So,...More

Good local cuisine and great staff, especially waiter who is extra professional. Do not expect miracle nouvelle cuisine, rather good, tasty local food. Location is very nice, especially during warmer months.

The hihghligt was definitely the waitor. Very friendly and took it upon himself to suggest meals, explain options, etc. The food itself was very good, too. We'll probably be visiting again.

Would recommend this restaurant; good service and food, and great Croatian wine. Cosy inside and nice outdoor seating.

Any time I see Michelin associated with a place, I expect a very high standard. We thought the chicken we had on the plane the following day more enjoyable that the poultry course we sampled here. We enjoyed the traditional beef dish more but were...More

I was in Zagreb for business briefly and came across this restaurant. Decided to give it a try. I ordered French onion soup and the Croatian oven baked octopus with vegetables. The dishes are okay, a bit of ordinary, but not disappointing or so. The...More

We’ve really appreciated the terrace. The food and the wine are good! My partner has just been a bit disappointed by her starter that was really small though. The waiter was really professional and kind.

We ate here on our last night in Zagreb as our apartment recommended it. We were quite disappointed. The food was about the same as any other restaurant in old town but was more expensive and the portions were smaller. They are Michelin reviewed which...More

We did not need a reservation, we ate early. You may need one if you eat later, say after 7:00 pm.

Description
"Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.
