Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely incredible! Every item we had was fabulous. Very fresh ingredients, seasonal, local. The 4 of us made a point to have different menu items and all of us couldnt have been more impressed. The portions are VERY generous. The tuna was fresh from tahiti,...the beef was so tender, and all of the sauces, dressings were perfect! The presentation was lovely and made us even more excited for our first bite. Excellent wine list and great recommendations from the staff. Every table was filled and the service was excellent. Highly recvomend!More

cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed our meal. i got the tuna, my wife the beef, our friends got the beef tartare and the tuna. all were amazing! had the warm goat cheese as an appetizer and it was wonderful. save room for desert...if you can. my only complaint was the portion size…. they may have been to big! the staff is attentive and helpful. the chef/ owner really cares about what he is doing. do not miss this experienceMore

Best food I've had in French Polynesia with generous portions and modern atmosphere. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Cost to worth it rating: 4 Opentableable: no but on website Return worthiness: yes! Highlights - Champagne: few options for a coupes and I enjoyed the...Ayala. - Foie 2 large slabs marinated in vanilla with the most amazing brioche I've ever had: warm, airy, buttery, and an excellent crust. 5 stars - Steak au poivre sauce: also best I've had, full of pepper flavor, creamy texture but still not too thick 5 stars - Potatoes au gratin: side with the duck. Potatoes cooked well, rich in a great cheesy way, and a crispy browned parmesan crust on top. 5 stars - Duck: tender slices of duck breast covered in a light honey sauce my hub wanted to get every last drop of. Huge portion with 13 thick slices. 4.5 stars - Trio of creme brûlée: vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio. All great flavors with only nits being the top could be crunchier and the custard a bit more texture so it was less runny: 4 stars - Profiteroles: large puffs filled with vanilla ice cream and pastry covered in a rich dark chocolate sauce. 4 stars - Pan fried filet: my son called them steak nuggets cause they were a bunch of cubes. Good quality meat and flavor but cooked more than he'd like without any pink. Came with the mind blowing au poivre sauce we asked for on the side I couldn't get enough of and poured over rye buttery mashed potatoes. 3.5 stars - Atmosphere: medium sized dining room but - more comfortable and modern than I expected which I liked - Wine: nice bottle of red recommended. Midlights / Carpaccio: huge platter though my hub would've liked it a tad bit thinner and with more seasoning. 3 stars Lowlights: - Vegetables seemed like frozen steamed ones with broccoli and green beans but I'm sending the island focused on fruit and doesn't have much for fresh veg. 2. stars Enjoyed this meal so much and will recommend to all my visiting friends.More

They serve great local foods in a french style. Their wine selection is superb and their selections of appetizers all looked mouth watering (I had the Feuilleté d’Escargots aux Champignons de Paris). After telling the maitre de that I didn't speek french and asking if...he spoke any English, he politely answered "un petit peu" and proceeded to place me at my table with an English language menu. The service was great. As one can guess for a restaurant on a south seas island, the fish dishes were local, fresh, and delicious.More

An amazing experience. Yes, the food is fantastic but the service is even better. They go above and beyond with everything. We enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked perfectly. It was our pre-anniversary dinner and they delivered!

We stayed in French Polynesian for 14 nights and this was our best dinner of all - including Le Lagoon at the St Regis. I had foie gras and the most delicious roasted duck. Scrumptious profiteroles for dessert. Service was excellent and prices were very...reasonable for the quality of the food. If you have a night in Papeete, get off the resorts and eat here!More

Lovely little restaurant with exceptional customer service and great food. We are vegetarian and they made us a meal specially which has been a struggle in most places in Tahiti. Our favourite dining experience here. This restaurant has a focus on quality with perfect portions....I was surprised at the price as it was still very reasonable considering the high quality offered, especially compared to most other places we’ve eaten over our 3 weeks. Highly recommend. It also has a simple but practical website that allows online booking and a fast response time. The website also has easy access to the menu. This is a feature that isn’t always present or done well at other places in the area.More

Nice ambient, friendly and tentative service, and delicious food. We really enjoy the Tuna Tartare - it tasted a bit like regular beef tartare but with a twist of sea and more texture. A easy entry to the mea. We also love the Paipo fish...with passion fruit and ginger sauce. Yes we did not expect passion fruit to be so good and go surprisingly well with the fish, and also especially with the rice, which is also cooked quite to the perfection with a bit of coriander seed and perhaps some oil and salt. The dessert with brioche was just right. Not too sweet, just a good way to wrap up the meal.More

The service was spectacular, the food even better. We started with the Quinoa salad and puff pastry escargot then on to the papio fish and lamb chops. I could literally eat those lamb chops every day. So tender and flavorful with perfect juice to soak...up with the bread. The papio was not a fish we were familiar with but I am glad we tried it. The sauce was completely unique- almost tasted like mango. But the hilight was the crreme brulee. 3 different flavors. I am sure my son was so jealous. The vanilla was absolutely divine.More

Went there for dinner on the basis of the Tripadvisor reviews and were not dissapointed. It is difficult to write a review without making comparisons with other restaurants we visit in Europe but this is not Europe and expectations have to be moderated by the...geographical context. The kitchen does very well with the resources available locally and the food is imaginative and well presented; portions are large. Service is friendly if a little slow and the wine list is good. If you are eating out in Tahiti this is recommended.More
