Best food I've had in French Polynesia with generous portions and modern atmosphere.

Return worthiness: yes!
Highlights
- Champagne: few options for a coupes and I enjoyed the...Ayala.
- Foie 2 large slabs marinated in vanilla with the most amazing brioche I've ever had: warm, airy, buttery, and an excellent crust. 5 stars
- Steak au poivre sauce: also best I've had, full of pepper flavor, creamy texture but still not too thick 5 stars
- Potatoes au gratin: side with the duck. Potatoes cooked well, rich in a great cheesy way, and a crispy browned parmesan crust on top. 5 stars
- Duck: tender slices of duck breast covered in a light honey sauce my hub wanted to get every last drop of. Huge portion with 13 thick slices. 4.5 stars
- Trio of creme brûlée: vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio. All great flavors with only nits being the top could be crunchier and the custard a bit more texture so it was less runny: 4 stars
- Profiteroles: large puffs filled with vanilla ice cream and pastry covered in a rich dark chocolate sauce. 4 stars
- Pan fried filet: my son called them steak nuggets cause they were a bunch of cubes. Good quality meat and flavor but cooked more than he'd like without any pink. Came with the mind blowing au poivre sauce we asked for on the side I couldn't get enough of and poured over rye buttery mashed potatoes. 3.5 stars
- Atmosphere: medium sized dining room but - more comfortable and modern than I expected which I liked
- Wine: nice bottle of red recommended.
Midlights
/ Carpaccio: huge platter though my hub would've liked it a tad bit thinner and with more seasoning. 3 stars
Lowlights:
- Vegetables seemed like frozen steamed ones with broccoli and green beans but I'm sending the island focused on fruit and doesn't have much for fresh veg. 2. stars
Enjoyed this meal so much and will recommend to all my visiting friends.More
