Hi we have used this restaurant over a period of years while sailing in Fiji. It used to be fairly good, however, these days it's a massive disappointment. We (three of us separately) tried to book a table for eight persons at 6 pm on a Friday. We were all told, to our considerable surprise, that they were booked solid.... More

Thank you very much for valuable comment. We feel sorry for the inconvenience caused. First of all, we will remind you that we are recommending all our customers to reserve a table in advance in order to avoid disappointment of fully booked situation especially on Weekend. I wrote a scathing review on Daikoku a while back as I could not get a table when it appeared to be empty and wish to review it again .I have had so many great nights there and all meals have been superb .it has great atmosphere and the food is fantastic .I now understand why the management specifies book... Friendly staff make you feel at home. The food is always good and you don't have to wait long. Take away is very reasonable and great when you are in a hurry.

We are here on our final evening before boarding our return flight home to LAX. The staff are amazing! The food is fantastic and the sake is deliciously cold! We each ordered individually yet share family style. We were in a large group of 9. The chef did a great job of keeping us all engaged while allowing for us... More

The prawns with special sauce are my favourite but unfortunately the standard depends on the person cooking which can change every visit. I find the cooks lack energy and could very easily convert the cooking experience to be more fun

We went there as part of a large group and had an enjoyable evening. The settings were great and background noise was low allowing for good dinner discussions. It wasn't like other teppanyaki where the chef is the focus and entertaining but more of a meal cooked on a hot plate in front of you. The food was flavoursome and... More

This place looks cheap and simple but the staff this is exactly what makes it great! We had a great service, show and food. Simple but very very nicely prepared and tasty. Our Cook was a lovely girl with great teppan skills. Food was amazing.

Good atmosphere, good food, guess it boils down to what you make of it. Although, there were many servers, it takes some effort to get noticed, finally figured out the easiest way was to let your chef know and she would ring a bell, someone would be there pronto. Well worth a walk in the rain.

Being used to Day Ko Ku in other parts of the world, this was definitely a let down. Food was not cooked by a Japanese Chef and the Fijian was very low in energy, no show and her chef clothing was filthy. It is such a shame as we took some friends for the experience and it was such a... More

Anybody would think that when you arrive at an empty restaurant and get told they are full you would wonder what is wrong with the management . I am a businessman in Fiji and have been a regular client over 15 years spending thousands of dollars here . No more This is the last time I get told they are... More

Thank you very much for valuable comment. We feel sorry for the inconvenience caused. For the ordinary capable businessman like you, this might be unusal management decision. Because rejecting any customer are a loss of sales opportunity. Our decision is not taking excessive business beyond our capabilities. We do our best to maximize our sales as a businessperson, however there... More
